    I can't imagine that many Japanese gamers would have complained about the difficulty. I mean it's Japan, they love tough as all hell games still right? It's definately curious why they threw the curve so much in this game, but regardless, it's still the best Macross game to date.

    I'm with you, Gundam is "supposed" to be about the evolution of man amongst all the crazyness of war. Gundam without newtypes is...not Gundam!

    Me thinks you need to read that a bit more closely. Now I'm not so sure I'm impressed with what's shown so far, it looks like this should could end up looking like Transformers The Animated Series, which I hope I'm wrong about.

    Droids bouncing off walls shooting lazers reminds me of something... I like it. Truth be told, I always believed Matsumoto did SW better than Lucas with 999, and would still love to see his take on a version of the story. But back to the episode, good solid action, nice rivalry with Tarkin setup, and R2 has a droid platoon, genius!

    Oh you just wait, it'll turn out that Basara was actually a Protoculture baby that was sealed in a cryo-capsule that crashed on a backwoods U.N. Spacy colony. He will awaken to his full potential as "BOMBA MAN", And teach the galaxy how to rock!

    Can we get some more scans of some of the better covers/character shots/mecha shots? Not asking for translations or anything, I just want to see what kind of awesomeness Mikimoto is putting out.

    I don't know, I think they should have built it a mechanical hand to hit the buzzer with. I'm curious how much of a factor digital impulse vs analog impulse plays when buzzing in quickly

    To use any mecha in any era, I think you have to pass all of the regular campaign stages with an A or higher.

    Sounds like the drive is bad/burned out in general. I've heard of people replacing them themselvse, but I'm not sure how well that works in the long run.

    One is the (almost) universal pilot ability (any pilot can fly the VF-19 Kai & such), and the other is still a mystery.

    Except Survival Mode pretty much replaces Chronicle, except that you don't take the role of the story character. Unless it changes if you do choose the story character.
