  1. Unless they decide to make him Apocolypse in disguise. But really, would Apocolypse work as a movie character?
  2. Already did. She said she's going to give you an even bigger spanking than I gave her.
  3. Wait a minute, you're on Macross World & don't know how to spell "Shoji Kawamori" ?!?!
  4. Enemy mecha look a lot like the Gillgamesh from Macross II, and the character designs definately look like Digimon. BUT, if they're willing to show a protagonists mom get crushed, I'm willing to give it a chance, and hope it has a Victory style dark tone.
  5. In our HD future, old school HK subs just don't cut it. Besides, anyone who cared about quality there got arrested/out of the business almost a decade ago.
  6. Exactly, sure it was bad, but it showed that there was "real" effort made, with a "real" production studio involved (Weta Digital). Sure we have WB as a licensor, but nothing else. In the time since this announcement, we've had two additional transformers movie, a Yamato movie, and that awful CG Astroboy movie. Denial can only go so far.
  7. School Rumble does have an ending, it just hasn't been licensed yet. Basically, the whole 3rd season of the story was skipped over, and the ending is persented in a 2 episode OVA. I'm not sure why they didn't animate the full last arc of the manga, but there are some very rewarding/anger making events that happen in that OVA.
  8. All we need is the ability to play online with custom emblems!
  9. School Rumble is epic. I just wish someone would pick up 3rd Terrm. Hell, I'd love a good reason why the third season was never fully animated. But I'll take the ending anyday, no matter how angry it makes you Burst Angel was a much better BGC knock-off than BGC 2040 was.
  10. You've gotta balance speed with patience. Don't take out the capitol ships irght away, you have to take out the small fry first. Then don't take out Ingus right away, attack him in small bursts until new enemies pop up, take them out, then proceed with attacking him in small bursts.
  11. I would love the next Macross game to look like Trial Frontier & be a launch title.
  12. I'm still waiting for HG's gang to claim Battlefield Earth L.A. was the first chapter in the new Robotech storyline.
  13. Because, it wasn't singing that affected the Protodevelin, it was "Anima Spiritia." The short version of the story is that all life in the universe gives off energy, anima spiritia being the rawest/purest (read: most hot blooded & passionate). The Protodevelin were energy beings possessing the prototype bio-weapon bodies that the Protoculture had developed. They came into this universe accidentally when the Protoculture were researching harvesting super/extra-dimensional energy sources to power their new weapons. The Protodevelin, not being familiar with life forms in our dimension, only sought out to feed. Being highly intelligent, they wound up re-engineering Protoculture technology, and capturing Zentradi along with Protoculture citizens, and creating the Supervision Army. This incident finally prompted the Protoculture to resolve their own civil war, and work together to seal away the Protodevelin using whatever form of Anima Spiritia they came up with. The reminants of the Protoculture were whiped out when they tried to acclimate the Zentradi into their newfound peace. The limiters on the Zentradi that had prevented them from attacking Protoculture were removed in order to combat the Supervision Army. When the Protoculture tried to demliitarize them, the Zentradi saw it as a threat, and took them out. The Zentradi that we see rolving around at the beginning of the original Macross series were what was left after these incidents. Anyway. With all of this background, you can now understand exactly why Basara wasn't initially effective. Time was required to build up his pasion to a strong enough level that it would affect the Protodevelin. Simply going out & singing wasn't enough, as culture shock didn't mean anything to the Protodevelin. But producing a passion so strong that they couldn't digest it on the other hand was quite effective. It took all the trials that Basara & Firebomber went through to even begin to produce this effect. And once they did, Dr. Chiba was able to amplify it even further.
  14. Target selection is done by holding circle, and cycling the cross pad left or right to switch between same level targets, or up & down to cycle between weaker/stronger targets (respectively).
  15. Yeah, SKL is pretty a pretty self contained "somewhere in some future maybe" story.
  16. I just watched Mazinkaiser SKL. Pretty fun, but lighter on story than I'm used to seeing from a Go Nagai production. Sepcifically the ambiguious timeframe it takes place in, but then you can't get that caught up in stuff when there's super robot death porn action going on.
  17. More specifically, it was actually "Max" who initiated "Project M." He's the one who recruited Chiba & gave him his budget, and found Ray & Basara through Kinryu. Max authorized the attachment of Akusho onto the side of City 7, so Ray could autonimously train Basara without anyone noticing. When the 7 fleet was eventually attacked, it was Max who authorized Basara to be on the battlefield. It's also no coincidence that Exedore wound up being Max's first officer, as he wanted like minded people in command should something such as the "Fleet of the Strongest Women" incident happen. That's right, the galaxy's greatest flying genius is also a pacifist.
  18. I don't understand why they're even having a con presentation. Some non-robotech fan who is unworthy of seeing the sacred powerpoint presentation of nothingness "might" accidentally stumble in. Wouldn't it make more sense to rent out a Mcdonalds at the birthday party rate, and schedule a convention for only the "true believers." ?
  19. Stop jinxing it!
  20. PSV, Looks pretty, but there's absolutely nothing I want there. I'm definately waiting until an Artdink Macross/Gundam game, and or decent Kojima/Metal gear game pops up on it. At least they nailed the price, $249 seems almost too reasonable for the wifi model.
