  1. I just don't understand how they can listen to that archaic dub dialogue as adults.
  2. You think that's bad, the Voltron movie is back on the table now too.
  3. The weird thing was they actually were exporting games at the time, they just had an issue with the hybrid pack for some reason. Obviously this time, they've no such issue.
  4. NEVER!
  5. Robotech, HG hates all things Cap. Or maybe they're talking about Rotten Tomatoes...
  6. Seems to happen in general whenever he takes too much punishment, but it's nowhere near the level that he's at in the last bit of the miniseries.
  7. Amazonjp considers the release a game because of the included demo, and refuses to ship games & toys internationally.
  8. Just a few reasons to watch the first CW miniseries: -It shows how Dooku found Ventress -Crazy Kit Fisto underwater fight -It shows when 3PO got his gold plating -Make your own lightsaber planet -It shows Anakin's field promotion from Padowan to Knight Amongst many other things. A nice bit I liked was
  9. The Yamato is freakin' Bebe's kids, that thing will never die. With that said, a sequal also featuring the Andromeda "would" be sweet, if they hadn't edged out Matsumoto, who I'm sure actually does have a firm hold of that design. Anything else would be ugly and wrong, so I'm against it.
  10. Maybe it's just common place to old schoolers, but that's just the way they named it. "Two Three" I think also has a WWII Japan reference to it, but it's been a while since I've read up on that. There may also be something in the DVD extra's there that explains it, I know my ancient fansub VHS had a blurb about it. Regardless, being a proper name for something, please refer to it accordingly. On the same token, Galaxy Express 999 is pronunced "Three Nine" not "Nine Nine Nine" or "Nine Hundred Ninety Nine."
  11. LOL, good to see you back!
  12. The only place that will likely have an issue this time is still Amazon Japan. Everywhere else should be cool.
  13. Depends on various rights issues, though I think they were left alone on the initial DVD release.
  14. I don't think HG understands, they don't have a marketshare that they've missed. Likely, everyone on this planet who would be interested in owning that show already does. This i pretty damn foolish.
  15. Unfortunately you missed your change to exchange that box last year. http://www.highdefdigest.com/news/show/High_Def_Deals/Universal/Universals_Battlestar_Galactica_Blu-ray_Packaging_Exchange_Expiring_Soon/4576
  16. I just wish they had gone with something more...sturdy. Or at the least popped hubs on those pages.
  17. They've announced the official art & packaging for the blurays. Can't say I'm happy, it's going to mimic the Alien Anthology cardboard book with page sleeves. Did anyone here pick up the Alien Anthology, and if so, have you had any problem with disc scuffing? Right now I'm debating on cancelling & just getting the two individual releases, since those will come in 3 disc BD cases, the only downside would be the loss of all the bonus content.
  18. But it's different this itme, 'cus it's "darker."
  19. Wow, they did have a fallout with ADV didn't they? It would have been nothing for Sentai to reprint either version of those old disc's, but instead HG had to go with some no-name and worse yet, crammed more episodes per disc. 36 episodes on 5 DVD's = WTF are they thinking. Stranger still, they're not saying whether it will be the original cuts, or the "remasters," though looking at the freakin' cover art, I'd wager remasters. Regardless, an interesting developement. The real question at this point is whether or not they'll be able to afford to get their new "sidequal" out on bluray, and which studio they'd have to sign up with to do it. If they're lucky, they might get a window with Image. Here's a more complete list of features. Sug. Retail Price: $99.95 Running Time: 32 hrs., 30 mins. + bonus Format: DVD/ 17 discs Aside from featuring all 85 half-hour episodes of the original series (re-mastered from original elements for this release), ROBOTECH: THE COMPLETE ORIGINAL SERIES also includes over ten hours of bonus programming: The Making of Robotech Documentary - NEW to DVD Robotech Music Videos - NEW to DVD Robotech Overview - NEW to DVD Alternate versions of select Robotech episodes - NEW to DVD Robotech: The Movie supplementals (including several sequences NEW to DVD) Macross Original Pilot - 70 minute extended version - NEW to DVD Promotional reel of Robotech Launch in China - NEW to DVD Over an hour of deleted scenes Robotech: The Sentinels (with optional audio commentary) Robotech: The Sentinels promotional video Macross Original Pilot - Parts 1, 2 and 3 Mospeada Original Pilot - Part 1 Original opening and closing animations Galaxy of the Stars - Harmony Gold promotional reel Toy Commercial and Videogame presentation reels International clips for all three Robotech Wars A vast stills appendix containing character bios, model sheets, pre-production art, comic book covers, and merchandise galleries And much, much more! Also solves the question about whether it's the remastered version or not. One more piece of hilariousness. It's actually not a no-name company. It's A&E Network. Sounds like this is the DVD equivilent of a vanity pressing.
  20. While I'm excited to see the YF-29 in there, I'm still getting the impression that this is a demo. "BUT", hopefully we are still clsoe to seeing a PS3/PSV full game not long after.
  21. You still haven't watched the mini-seires have you? The character designs in the series continue on from its 2D counterpart.
  22. You may want to check out Genshiken if you haven't already.
  23. I actually think Sayla took the stance of "I can't believe you two are still f^cking fighting, you're on your own."
