What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
Keith replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Stay with it. It appears pretty random at first, but its true epicness will soon make itself known. -
Now that's a look, I'm impressed

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
Keith replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I finally got around to watching Code Geass & R2. Definately liked it, had sort of a Zeta + light LotGH vibe going for it. Though if I had one complaint, it'd be a few too many cases of non-commital character kills. -
The old topic was locked, and this news warrents a revival. Gunbuster OVA on (Japanese) bluray 2/24/12 No specs yet, but I'd expect all the previous DVD extras, and if we're lucky, subtitles. Discuss.

Macross Frontier Movie 2 thread - Now available on Blu-ray/DVD

Given how much more complete the game engine looks in this one, I think we may be getting closer to a full game. -
For that much, those lions should be able to bad touch you!

Ok, now that I've watched the trailer a couple times, I feel comfortable talking about some things I suspected from the initial pictures. -Real time level concert ofotage window: NICE, as seen in a stage replicating the last concert/battle from Itsuwari no Utahime, synched up animation goes along with the actual battle. -Large scale battleships are now in levels, we can see Battle 25, we can see several Vajra ships, and we should be able to assume that we can zoom in/land on them like in the PSP game. -Ground combat levels have also been added, as we can see a full cityscape in one stage. -Custom paint schemes also seem to have carried over. What does all of this tell us? The PS3 version of the game engine has all of its basic mechanics down, now we just need to wait until they build us a full game around it.

The red Vajra was playable in the first game/demo, the Koenig Monster, VF-27, & YF-29 however were not. -
Do we know yet if Ra's Al Ghul is going to make an appearance in this last film? It would be pretty wasteful not to have him in the finale.

Now see, if you watch the new BSG, the whole "this has all happened before" thing doesn't actually reference a series of of the exact same events happening. The bad end to this would be something akin to Gall Force: Earth Chapter & Rhea, which is were that the bad end scenario happens. And I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I love how Gall Force served as the general inspiration.

Warning for those who've been avoiding spoilers, don't watch that trailer. For those of us who aren't avoiding them though, AWESOME! KOENIG MONSTER IS PLAYABLE IN THE GAME!! -
Don't back peddle now. We have absolute confimation that there will be exactly "sum" Rick Hunter in the new sidequel!
-
You mean nothing, aside from the producers saying it's a reboot and not a sequel?

Let me put it this way. The abscence of evidence is not the evidence of abscence. Your rational & generalizations is based on extremely weak and subjective information. As the series goes on things will become clearer. It's kinda like claiming that Macross Frontier is actually a remake of the original Macross series because some of the character designs are reminicent of the original. When you watch it however, you find out that it's a sequel. But whatever dude, you'll see.

I don't know, I think maybe he was just trying to find the least outlanidsh character left to brawl with. Killer Croc is nearly a mutant, The Penguin is hard to do dark + serious, The Riddler isn't much of a brawle, etc. Though Catwoman is in the film, Bale doesn't need the bad press of punching a chick in the face. Which leaves us with Bane.

You do realize that you've unleashed the biggest spoiler ever. Now that we know Rick Hunter will be in the sidequel, all of the HG staff will hunt you down for spoiling their ace card.
-
Didn't anybody go to see it? Well I did. fun movie. I don't know much about the comic, but I enjoyed what I saw. Almost worth the price alone to see Harrison Ford slyly put back into Han Solo-esque clothes.

Now that's hilarious! -
It makes no sense to do an HD version of Next Plus, when they could spend the time/resources doing a port of the newer Gundam Vs Extreme.

The one major hole in that theory, the original Thundercats had never met/heard of Mum-Rah before arriving on Third Earth. In the new series, Mum-Rah reveals that the stone in the sword of omens originally belonged to him. Ergo, not a sequel.
