hmmm. given that ALL light sources - halogen, incandescent, flourescent - give off UV rays, we can still ask: "which one gives off the least?" does anyone know?

Just wondering, Will incandescent/neon/other forms of indoor lighting cause toys to yellow? Or is it only sunlight? Also, out of the alternatives (incandescent, neon, halogen etc) - which one is the best for toys? I did a search for "lighting" and nothing came up.

eh, i just watched Mac 7 for the first time ever. it sucks, but Fire Bomber's songs ... are strangely infectious. too bad i can't get onto the macross hub. any idea where i could get the songs otherwise?

i suppose if you used a matte coat the toy wouldn't look too garish?

when you're spraying sealer on ... do you spray it over the entire toy, or just the parts with stickers on? i kinda can guess at the answer .. but i just want to be sure.

ah yes, that's another good question ... how long, in general, do stickers last for? i have 1 set of the toynami alpha MPC stickers (for rook and scott), but i was thinking maybe i'd better get a second set ...

yeah, i know .. but them Toynami Alpha MPCs look *so* much better with stickers on. if i keep a toy away from sunlight, will there be color unevenness around the area where the sticker finally peels off? in other words, there should be no color change in a toy if it is kept away from sunlight, correct?

i've realized that my question can be put more succinctly: can there be anything done about discoloration on toys? and how does discoloration differ from yellowing?

Just wondering: What happens to stickers on toys after some time has passed? Do the results vary depending on how well a sticker is applied? For instance, if I've stickered up my valk carelessly - one corner keeps need to be pushed down, for instance, due to my need to sticker something 5 or 6 times before being completely satisfied with it - are there chances of more ill side effects? if i remove a sticker from a toy after, say, 6 years, is it true that there will be a discoloured spot directly beneath where the sticker was? is there any way to get around this?

Hey, I'm thinking of going. It's fifty bucks for three days. This will be the first ever convention I've ever attended. What exactly goes on at a convention? Do you get to buy toys? Or are there only samples, nothing in stock en masse?

just wondering - is there anyone out there who's shipped, like, EIGHT boxes of toys but for non-commercial (ie. not sale or resale) purposes? will you still get hit by customs? i just shipped my 8 macross toy boxes back home to singapore today. the total came to USD$270, but i'm afraid i'll still get whacked by customs back home. gonna miss new york.

Is there like a vigilante group of bidders on eBay who bid up obviously worthless items to ridiculous amounts and then default on payment just to make the seller (who usually have 1 or less feedback) annoyed / waste the seller's time? yeah i am using that to watch it on my comp, but what if i want to join the files together for burning onto a CD? can BSplayer do that? i have virtualdubmod and subtitle workshop, but it's looking all greek to me right now.

that's good to know. if it *is* the bigger 7" briareos figure, i'll just get the entire DVD set and be done with it, instead of getting DVD and action figure separately. re deunan's poseability: she *can* sort of hold her pistol, if you're careful about it. her arm's fallen off once - not too bad, considering my kaiyodo evangelions have their arms falling off every other day!
