Wow, this is great! Man, as if my pocketbook hasn't taken enough abuse already, now I have to decide whether or not to blow some of my hard earned cash on this puppy. Damn you Rohby, for being so awesome! Anyhow, those are some really sweet pictures. How does the heatshield attach?

While news of the Beta/Tread does bring joy to my eyes, A) This is the wrong forum for this and B) No one says that Robotech is the "greatest cartoon ever." But we can still save you! Just watch Macross and take two spoonfuls of castor oil a day, and you should be fine in about a month.

Supposedly tomorrow.

Valk Exchange is probably your best bet. The 1/48s are quickly becoming expensive, though, so you might want to wait until the Cannon Fodder is released to start your addiction. Welcome to MW!

That's a pretty insane price. Good catch! Wow, Toynami just keeps screwing around with the release date for the Shadow, huh? First April, then May, now June. Once this month's almost over, the release date will be set in November.

Wow, I thought I was the only one who had ever seen that movie. Anyhow: Weather balloon B-2 Area 51 (not enough zoom on this one)

http://www.ernestcline.com/spokenword/Airw...Ernie_Cline.mp3 "Airwolf by Ernest Cline At the dawn of the Paleolithic Period when the first humans left their caves, mastered the secrets of fire, and start making tools with which to hack civilization out of the wilderness- This was mankind’s first, tiny step towards an unseen, singular goal that would take millennia to achieve. The centuries that we spent devising physics, mathematics, chemistry, engineering, metallurgy – All of our combined knowledge and technological advancements as a species were to finally culminate in the creation of a machine of such flawless beauty that it now clearly stands out as human civilization’s crowning achievement: Airwolf. In 1984 the world’s most brilliant scientists and engineers were assembled in secret for the sole purpose of constructing the world’s most advanced Mach One Plus attack helicopter. This would be more than just an instrument of war. It would be a work of art. And no expense was spared in this, mankind's boldest endeavor to date. The original De Vinci parchments were consulted. Extrapolations were made. Fifth generation Swiss craftsmen were flown in merely to construct the dashboard. There was painstaking attention to detail. And upon its completion, those present were unable to do anything but stand and marvel in wonder and in awe at the sleek, black aerodynamic perfection . . . that was Airwolf. And I know there are voices of dissent shouting, "What about Blue Thunder? What about Knight Rider?" fart Blue Thunder. fart Michael Knight! Airwolf. Airwolf is the adjective we should use to describe anything of majesty, beauty, and intensity. Something that is simply farting bad ass . . . is Airwolf. James Brown's music is Airwolf. Shakespeare is Airwolf. Sex so good it makes your spine ache and your knees buckle. . . That's Airwolf. And nothing is more Airwolf than Airwolf. Airwolf is the Holy Grail. The Golden Fleece. The thing you want that you cannot have. When you go sprinting through the Mall desperate to fill the emptiness in your life through the purchase of name brand clothing and electronics- You will never achieve satisfaction. Because the one brand name you really want is the one you can never have. Airwolf? Oh, I’m sorry, we're all sold out. That item was only available for a very limited time and in very limited supply. One. And only one man stepped forward to purchase it. String Fellow Hawk! And he bought it for the bargain basement price of having the solid brass balls to steal it from the US government, when, in their hubris, they were foolish enough to ask him to be the test pilot! You don’t ask a guy with a name like String Fellow Hawk to fly your top-secret black helicopter. Why? Because he is obviously going to steal it! He's obviously a prototypical American anti-hero, for fart's sake! He lives in the mountains. He plays the cello. His name is String Fellow Hawk. He cannot be trusted. He's not gonna use Airwolf to execute American foreign policy. He's going to keep it for himself. Which is exactly what you would do. Walking out to your back yard to stare at it every night around sunset. The sight of it filling you such peace and resonant satisfaction that you would come to believe the perfect haiku would have just two syllables: Airwolf."

Anime is the French word for "animated." The Japanese also use it to describe animation in general. Thinking you can categorize such a huge genre into a simple "style" definition is preposterous at best; the purpose of an artist is to make art, under his own steam, under his own imagination, which I think Isamu has done well. You are correct in saying the respective styles of western and eastern artists vary, but it is more appropriate to distinguish styles through their respective creators, rather than lumping them into a pretty stereotypical definition. (I'm very opinionated on this subject. Can you tell? )

Dude, Liefeld's famous for copying off others. I have a pic somewhere detailing the Liefeldian "art of homage." -
[Essay]Evaluation of the Practicality of Mecha

But you're forgetting that the exo-suits are about human sized, and are relatively small to begin with. 50ft mechs, or even 20ft mechs, no matter what kind of technology is crammed in, would be packing a HUGE amount of mass. It just isn't physically probable. An ant can crawl on a ceiling just fine because of its size, but if you increased it to the size of a human, it wouldn't be able to; things begin to lose mobility as mass increases. Likewise, if you shrunk down to the size of an ant, you'd be able to walk on the ceiling just fine. Exo-suits would be fine. 15-18ft slow construction and all terrain warfare mechs would be fine. But 20-24+ft mechs would just be way too cumbersome and massive to be effective anywhere. -
THERE IS NO SUCH FRIGGIN THING AS "ANIME STYLE!!" AUGH!! Oh, by the way, nice picture. Your style is a refreshing change of pace from othre, more "traditional" Millia fanart.

It happened. It was some ridiculous fan move that I saw at some sci-fi con some years ago.

Wrong forum, yo.

Because making art is obviously all about the money.

Wow, a lot of the "features" description looks lifted straight outta Graham's review on the main site.

Everyone hates his guts. It's ridiculous how a hackjob like him could stay in the industry for so long. I mean, he even admitted that he never had any formal training, and he's PROUD of it. -

I really like how Kid Flash's neck looks like swiss cheese. Real appetizing there, Rob. How is this joker still in the industry? -
I know I don't. Hmmm... none of the images in that auction are working for me. Would anyone care to describe it for me?

Guess not... (pssst... it's "usury")
