ah i remember that bit! but i think that compared it to a human, the eiffel tower, the excelion, the bugs, etc.
the image i'm talking about actually compares giant robots to giant robots - i remember seeing gunbuster, giant robo, mazinger maybe?
i own this on dreamcast - it does sorta look like it - but is it exactly it? i dunno! anyhow Rafaga is the "Valk" of the bunch in the game- they have psuedo-mazingers too, etc etc. - 3d fighting game, go!
use the anbu-animeone sub (not the dvd rip if you dont have a dvd player of course), and use - um, i forgot the name of my player (i'm not at my home comp) but i'm sure someone here has a suggestion!
reba west may have only done a few songs, but they were beaten to death all over robotech so it seemed like 80 percent of the music in the series lol.
i agree, i like the BGM of robotech - but they could have mixed it up a bit more - those themes started sounding REAL familiar after the 18th skirmish...
as for Macross, Minmay rules. the BGM and opening and ending theme songs are ok, better when Ijima sings the end credits solo, much worse when they do a duet - those voices just don't blend!
if you got it for pure collectability, then someday you will be able to sell that to a hard core otaku much easier than a normal taka box/toy. that's a cool original variant that isn't a fake HK rip. the prices should stay a lil lower than 150 due to the almost identical bandai reissues of the takas, but still it's a nice find, be happy!
you know it's blasphemous but i have no emotional tie to the super-o. the vf-1d serves the same purpose for me nostalgia-wise (although a minmay figure in back would have been nice) so i'll pass.
ok so mao isn't the first to do the irreverent finger prod up the butt thing (episode 3 on our poor hero) - i've seen it in Slam Dunk too, etc - but the first time i've seen a girl do it - is this some kind of irreverent japanese butt humor we aren't privy (pun!) to in the USA? i dont think we even have anything close to this kind of thing in our culture do we?

found another example - in Naruto no less.
"Naruto finds himself being held up from behind by Kakashi’s calm and mocking words. Kakashi then executed “A Thousand Years of Pain,” or, as it translated on Naruto’s end, a swift poke to the butt. Naruto is sent flying into the air grabbing his behind in protection, eventually landing in the river."
that packaging is atrocious. can you say "not meant to be kept?" - reminds me of the arch enemy series of gundam packaging - once you managed to un-tie all the twisties, the box was in shambles.
the big question is, how can you get your kid to NOT touch all of this? some day you'll see the basement door ajar and have that feeling of dread - oi! btw nice custom dougram models!
kids wouldnt be adverse to buying huge plastics planes - and parents wouldn't either. look at that old gi joe tomcat - that was pretty big wasn't it? and tons of kids had that!
Thanks! Here we go-
Some of you know "Marine Boy" - the series that was dubbed with the same folks as "Speed Racer."
Some of you remember Marine Boy's Dolphin friend - Splasher!
Here is the question - does anyone know what Splasher's original Japanese name was?
mods flexing muscles are sexxay.
and yep this is turning political, so instead of commenting on taxes as an issue, i'll just comment that if i get any kind of return i'll be pumping it into ye olde debt management account *cry*
