Coming out of Macross Retirement to say I saw this and the first episode is already so much better than the Gatchaman Crowds reboot. I'll be watching the series for sure!

I love Ranka's holo projection a-la Sharon Apple over the SDF-1. So much tribute goodness. Didn't say this for Ep 23, but that part about the Pilot's curse of getting shot down when kidding a crewmate about love interests was hilarious - so true!

"*HEAD SPINNING* Also, nice nod that in the "Canon" Macross world, DYRL was a movie made for the masses as a historical drama, and I guess Singing Princess is also a movie to dramatize the "real life" events that happened in Zero. I love how it's all being tied together!

I was wondering if they'd include an homage to Macross Zero as well, but it looks like more than just an homage coming...

So far this series has done a great job paying homage to all the previous series, but also being stunning on its own. Did you catch the shot of the Monster? And how about that preview with Milia's red unit, and that signature Miss Macross yellow dress?

long time no see, long time no series! Episode 2 was just up my alley, great homage scenes with a twist! And our fave lil 1/4th Zent gal seems to attract a Nausicaa-level amount of bug attraction for some reason...good stuff so far!

Just watched it too, and let me say - I really got into it at the end with the ending credits song, as you can all imagine. Minmay Lives On!

Two things i couldn't stop watching - for different reasons... And they both use Minmay's song! Oi!

I FINALLY got around to watching Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles. It wasn't bad as long as I didn't associate any of the characters with Macross characters (easy to do since no one looked familiar even if they had names that should hehe). The singing was HORRIBLE. Hmm, what else? Oh, were they thinking of a sequel to finally get Rick Hunter off the schnide? That's it!

just got the note that it's sitting at home waiting for me. but i'm not going home for another 5 hours, ARGH!

i've had mine on preorder from amazon.com since the moment they put it up, and i got notice that it shipped, whee! i can't wait! hmm and i'm interested to hear what the new music sounds like. i'm kinda used to the "Chariots of Fire" training music...
