OK...so where do we get the recasts for these babies?

lol, why rob? you going to do a custom or just keep it in your treasure chest of toys? i voted for the gbp. the elint i did for estacado had some mods to make it more lineart accurate, if he's willing you can recast this set so it'll look nicer than the stock one =D Haha, I need it so you can make a custom elint and GBP for me. Since I haven't the skill, patience, time, etc. to do it right, I nominate you to build it for me. and I have all my reissue / custom stuff sitting in a display cabinet. The treasure chest is only for my 1/55 originals... and it's buried under a spot marked X.

ya see, this i just don't get? why buy toys that you're never going to open? i even have dupicates of stuff and i still open all of them. how are you going to enjoy them if they're in the box where you can't touch them? Ahh...this subject was touched upon in Toy Story 2 so I won't go any further than that...

Remember a time when Graham thought Yamato could do no wrong? I always thought the Yamato toys were NOT supposed to be played with, which was why it was supposed to be articulate and a closer representation of what the valkyrie was supposed to look like. And that was how the two camps formed...those who preferred the 1/55 for its playability and those who preferred the 1/60 for its model-like attention to detail with transformability, but not the playability. And then the battles raged... I'm glad those days are over. All can be forgiven...Look at Solscud. He's even inviting RT.com people to hang out with him. Who would have thought we'd live to see the day when that would happen? I never read any thread on this, but Graham, why did you have a falling out with Yamato?

I don't know what musha is, but there was this one model or something of a 1S in a gbp that was kick ass. and THAT I would defintiely go for. I don't know where I saw it, but it made the GBP look very scary.

I think it's funny that you just posted this. the other day, I asked why there weren't any custom elints out there. But I also am looking for the supero, so if anyone has it...

I see customized ostriches, but I never see customized elintseekers. Why is that? Is it harder to recast? I'm sure there are plenty of people who want the elint just as much as the ostrich.

I've been itchin to do some customs, and looking at Jason C's custom ostrich made me want to do it even more. I've got like 3 jetfires just sittin there waiting for some work. But I want everything to turn out better than the VF-1D I did years ago. I don't want any paint chipping. And I want it to be purdy. I promise to be very patient and diligent. I had heard things about using future to seal things so that the paint didn't chip. But I have no idea how to go about using it. And would it work with any paint? I normally use Tamiya Acrylic paints.

Let's see...as far as I remember... Goliath hurt KITT pretty bad. MK did some trash work to get KITT running so he could get it fixed. Then there was the episode where KITT got destroyed by acid and they had to rebuild him. There was the episode where KITT got destroyed by some missiles and they rebuilt him with the super pursuit crap. I don't remember KARR ever destroying KITT though. The two times that I remember them meeting, once, KITT used a grappling hook from the rear that sent KARR off the cliff. They thought KARR got destroyed, but then some dude uncovered KARR from the sand. And then KITT had to use this deflecting windshield to repel the laser that shot back at KARR and then he was hurt. Then KITT finished him off when they did a joust using turbo boosts.

Ah...stereotypes, based on Hollywood's portrayal of the British! Yes, all educated British men are naturally effeminate and condescending, just the same way as all Americans are 350lb, burger eating, flannel shirt wearing slobs called Bubba who marry their 14 year old cousins. I'm guessing you've not travelled outside of the US much eh? There's nothing I hate worse than steroytyping or generalizations. You will find effeminate and condescending men in every country and among every people, just as you wil find fat slobs in every country. There's no monopoly on this sort of thing you know! The black big rig was called Goliath or something. and then there was the KITT that was evil named KARR. HAHAHA the Super Pursuit Mode...LOL. But they did make some cars talk didn't they? Like some Fords or Plymouths... when the door was open, it'd say, "The door is ajar" or something stupid like that. maybe I"m wrong. Something tells me the gimmick didn't work out too well for the company. But that Bonnie and April were hotties.

Sweet custom man! Can you provide me with some info on how you did the custom? What kind of paints? Does it transform without the paint coming off? What preparation steps did you do? Did you use a clear coat of anything to cover everything? What kind of decals are you using?

Will the 1/48 go the way of the 1/55 reissues? I know everyone here wanted the Elint and ostrich 1/55, and the reish never arrived. I certainly hope that Yamato makes them though.

Isn't the HCM a 1/72 scale? The gears in xstoys head go, "wait a second, I don't have any HCM VF-1S that's in 1/100 scale. Is this a variant that passed me by? bah. No way. me too! I'd be interested as long as it came with a styro as well. I have my very own custom VF1D to put in it too, although it needs some rework cuz I sucks at customizing.
