I'd like to do a few customs, now that I've got strike and ostrich armor on the way. So, I'm curious, what's a good clearcoat to use that would protect the valk from flaking? My paint on my VF-1D is cracking like crazy from a few transformations. I'd like for my future customs to be able to handle the rigors of a few transformations every now and then...

Hmmm I have some modded nose cones, but they don't look like that. I like the way that looks. Mine were modded by this dude named Delfino in Australia. Looking back, I think all he had to do to mod it was put some bondo on the nose, and sand it to the right shape. Not that tough to do I suppose. He also used auto grade paint for the cone and it was really strong, so it could take the abuse of being transformed.

I'm just glad that they are doing something new. I'm just so sick and tired of the same old focker, max, hikaru scheme. It's been done to death. Even though the LVII don't look that great, I'll buy it just because it's something different. Of course I will also be buying that Stealth. Finally, Yamato has given me a reason to buy some toys again. I've been out of the game for too long.

Well, the VE isn't the only one. Didn't Blackaces also close shop? I think there's only so many people who are willing to buy the same toy in a different color or with a different head. There's nothing new to keep the interest growing.

I think Macross is probably already near dead. There's not a whole lot of action going on over here these days. The Valkyrie-Exchange is closed. I don't see it getting more popular in the future than it is today... just that the few loyal ones and the few die-hards will keep it from extinction.

how come people don't use automotive paints? This guy who did some stuff for me used auto paints and it made things really hard and VERY durable. The paint was very hard and didn't scratch off.
