I for one do not see the YF19 going up as much in the past for the 1/72 scale. M+ just generated so much more buzz and demand for the toys. Now with the new YF19, new demand is not being generated. IMO it is mainly the old school collectors buying these. Having said all of this, I hope the price will be capped at $180. I for one am sick and tired of paying in the $200 range for any toys.

Mari is trying hard to balance the past involving Macross and her future in America. Paying her dues is but one path for her, the harder part however remains involving her choice in her future music. Some say she needs to incorporate more popular songs such as the ones used in Macross, while others debate the merits for her to remain true as an artist first and foremost. The harsh reality is she need to support of the general public and the diehard fans. But the question is will she create music that appeals to both? This remains to be seen and is a completely seperate issue from her desire to become an actress in Hollywood. Either way, I wish her the best of luck and will continue to support her work!

Nope that would be *gasp* doing something original! I agree on all counts, these and other reasons are why I geneally do NOT like or look forward to remakes of older anime series.

I know I cannot and I doubt I am alone. At best Top2 is acceptable, but it seriously is lacking in the elements that make the original so timeless. I completely concur.
