  1. They post online what they are ready to sell to the public. That's why I previously confirmed cels that are potentially for sale from all series are posted. In the past they use to have different items at cons that's why IMO the best way to see the cels they have available, is to still attend a con. And yes they have contacts with various production studios, directors, and character designers. This is the primary reason why they are the largest anime cel dealer and they continue to exist despite the vast majority of dealers closing down. Gone are the days when there were 50+ cel dealers internationally.
  2. Yes the cels that are potentially for sale from all series are posted. Remember, there is no actual new inventory for 1980s series, OVAs, and movies. What is available are scraps since most cels are undisplayed online, they remain hidden in blackhole collections.
  3. Anime Link does not regularly update their site. They have a large inventory, but not for Macross. You use to be able to sign up for email updates , but the JACML email list is not being maintained. Your best luck is going to a con that they attend. Unfortunately, their site doesn't post their schedule as well.
  4. @ JVMacross: The promotional poster on post #201. Thanks.
  5. @ jvmacross: Nice posters. How large is the Macross DYRL teaser promo poster? Thanks!
  6. Thanks for clarifying about both books! The hardcover Shogakukan 3 volume set looks fantastic. Need to get a set! For the softcover set is it in post #286? Not sure which picture I should be referencing. Thanks bunches!
  7. @ JVMacross: The Hagane Bito artbook is really impressive. Is it mainly filled with Gundam images? How many images are from Macross? Thanks. Also, how old are the Shogakukan three volume hardcovered children artbooks? And how many pages does it contain? Thanks!
  8. Wow! The Dangaioh figures are really pricey now. Shocking. Maybe another release will reduce the price point? Also agree the black version is not from the OVAs. Probably just trying to mimic the popular Transformers Dark Convey colors. @ DarrinG: About time the Dangaioh OP close up cel sold! Pricey yes but there really aren't many close ups of the mecha circulating anymore. I interviewed a retired cel dealer from Japan and in the past, AIC destroyed their cels. So finding ANY cels from Dangaioh (mecha and character) is pretty amazing all things considered. Lastly, also completely agree with you about the Dangaioh CDs! Both of them are sheer awesomeness! Still have them. Now if some company would release a DVD R1 or BR complete set it would be great!
  9. Always looking for Macross cels and drawings. PM if you're considering selling. Thanks!

  10. Indeed nice additions everyone. Thanks for sharing!
  11. Really? When I look around I see tons of galleries that just have photos not scans. Well either way hope you create a gallery. You have so many cels it is a waste to just post on this thread. If you need help, just pm.
  12. @ jvmacross: Thanks for sharing some of your new additions. Have you created a free rubberslug.com cell gallery? It's simple and quick. You will find many cell collectors there too. Cheers!
  13. Yes, her cosplay name is, "Aira Cosplay" but her real name is Nishino Shou; bing it. She is a JAV idol who is very well known in the cosplay circles. Born June 29, 1985. She lives in Tokyo Japan. Website: http://ja.curecos.com/profile/?ch=72312 Twitter: https://twitter.com/aira_cos Enjoy! Cheers!
  14. @Darren G: Great Patlabor cel! Definitely frame the douga. Have you considered placing it under the cel? how did you create.the FX layer and background?
  15. @ DarrinG: Nice Dangaioh mecha cels and Mospeada hanken momo cel!
  16. Great series. Enjoying it especially bc it is not predictable. However Efren needs to calm the heck down; anger management issues appear everytime he speaks.
  17. Dangaioh or Dangaio still entertains. The animation and character designs holds nicely. Those models are nice but pricy!!

  19. Yes just read the newest chapter. Great stuff and great job translating. Could not put this down. Thanks again.
  20. Nice settei reproduction set!
  21. Read both and these are fantastic!! Love the words and how much emotion is expressed. Readers are treated to private events and deep inner thoughts of the characters. MANY THANKS GUBABA!
  22. Nice collection Renato! Those Dvd covers are great.
  23. enjoyed it but did not care for the forced romance with lois. also the climatic battle w/zod was good. main concern was why the story required Superman to take such a drastic "action" during the fight. perhaps someone can explain this better? always thought he believed all life was sacred. thanks in advance for sharing.
  24. UV will adversely affect the trace lines on your cel. Those will fade quicker than the paint colors. There is a wealth of cel preservation tips on rubberslug.com. The site goes down time to time, but check the faqs, pinned sections and search the forums. You will find the most helpful tips there. Also just to answer your question if you want to preserve your cel you have a variety of options depending on your environment and budget. Things to consider are you in a high humidity or dry environment? Do you have smokers ? Do you have moisture or lots of ambient lightling from windows? All of these factors can harm your cels if you choose to openly display them. To display your cels openly you may want to invest the time to bag your cel in archival quality clear bags, as well as, archival acid-free double matting to prevent the cel from touching the uv resistent plexiglass. If you are on a budget research how to build amd assemble your own frame from cheap pete's stores. They have all of the main supplies you need matting, uv resistant plexi-glass and a variety of frames. strongly recommend researching on rubberslug first so you can determine how to measure and what to look for when matting the cel. this is especially important if you have an original production background that is also painted. lastly, if you want a quick solution you can buy the itoya portfolio binders to store your cels using archival quality bags. if you need more ideas pm. cheers!
