    If NY can't fulfill and I end up having to cancel the PO then I'll also need to cancel the super parts PO since those won't do me any good without something to put them on.

    NY sent notice that there'll be a delay in shipping (see previous post). Supplier (Bandai?) canceled their order due to too many customer preorder cancels. I wouldn't mind if NY would move to a payment required at time of preorder policy in order to stop people from getting preorders that they intend to drop if they find it cheaper.

    The problems I had surfaced after transformation. A couple of clip parts fell out and one of the chest bars broke.

    Got the payment request from NY. Also placed a preorder for the super parts. For some reason they look better on this color. Maybe they blend better.

    I think every valkyrie should come with one. It just makes sense for something that spends most of it's time in the air or space. The toy looks more natural if it appears to be floating.

    I received the VF-4 and YF-19 the same day. I've had more fun with the YF-19. The VF-4 looks great in fighter mode, but is oddly proportioned in battroid mode. The missiles are absolutely maddening and one of the flaps on the bottom doesn't like to stay on while transforming. The VF-4 wins on markings. I wish the YF-19 had more than a handful of markings since I don't like to use stickers.

    Not an M7 fan so easy pass for me. I would have preordered the Hikaru rerelease if it had been a Strike. I opted for a used PLUS+ version instead since there has been no super parts rerelease announcement. In retrospect I'm glad it worked out the way it did since I prefer the Yamato DRYL color to the bright white that Arcadia used.

    Are those two black on each side of abdomen just below the chest part of the balk or the stand? Looks like the cockpit is clearly visible from the side in battroid mode.

    And a pathetic neck! I think I'll be passing on this one. I don't like the look of the head, the abdomen or crotch.

    The Bandai Action Base 1 stands work pretty well. They are flexible - 11 holes in the base to position the arms. Also much sturdier than they look. Both arms have a locking extension mechanism. The peg adapter that comes with the stand can be shaved down a bit to work with the YF-21 stand adapters. The VF-11 is using EXOs wonderful adapters (printed in black).

    Finally got an update. Mine is still sitting in Japan. Last time I use AE. I'll go with HLJ for the 0D if I decide to preorder one.

    AE is sooooo slow. Paid for this thing back when I ordered, but it still took 4 days after it came out to get the shipping payment through. Now I've been waiting 3 days for the EMS tracking number to come alive. It's looking like my BDay gift to myself won't make it on time.

    I personally wouldn't care if these came in compact plain white boxes. I buy these online so it's not like the box would catch my eye in a store and get an impulse buy out of me. Of course, these are indeed sold in stores so they do need an eye catching box and this box seems like it'll do just fine.

    Looks like they CDJapan is making up the difference in shipping. I'm seeing almost $60 for EMS vs $35 for NY EMS.

    I recently came back to Macross after a long hiatus. I got frustrated with Yamato's quality and gave up just before the YF-21 came out. Yamato really stepped up their game since then. Too bad they couldn't stay profitable. Bandai also entered the space while I was away. Now that I'm back I've had to drop everything except Macross to stay within my budget. I'm really looking forward to this one.
