1/48+FP's, 1/60, and 1/72 picture gallery
VF-18S Hornet replied to VF-18S Hornet's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Hey Isamu Atreides 86, from what sticker sheet did you get that U.N. Marines sticker from. I though the VF-1A low Vis sticker sheet comprised only of the U.N. Spacy names and no other military branch. -

VF-18S Hornet replied to VF-18S Hornet's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Okay here is a link to my collection. Picture of my 1/48's with the FP's will come soon, I had a problem with the film not catching so I had to start over. Damn I wish I had a digital camera. Valkyrie collection -
It looks like a normal VF-1 from an unknown squadron onboard the Prometheus. If you you remember at the begining of the DYRL game the Prometheus get sliced into two. That could have been fighter blown off deck by the explosion killing it's pilot before he had any chance to react.

Macross Zero wallscrolls or posters
VF-18S Hornet replied to Jedi Knight's topic in Movies and TV Series
Well if anyone supplies me with enough still and poster images I could probaly design a wall scroll or two. -
I've seen the blue creature face turn from from a smile to a horrible grimace knowing its about to get swatted on (Ugh) Robotech considering they did a how lot of unnessesary editing especially now that I have seen that poor guy get blown away(Chuckles) but he didn't get fried in the end, the editing wasn't all that nessesary. Leave it up to American Censorship getting out f hand.

My first Valkyrie was a CF VF-1J SD Valkyrie then Jet Fire way back when Robotech was out (Hasbro couldn't design their own Jet Fire so they steal one from the Macross toy line) it's tail wing/backpack and chest plate broke off when I was transforming it took it a apart then used the parts to fix my nephew's jetfire that he got from the son of my brother in law I took the liberty taking apart both an recontructing them. The backpack on ther other, was a problem since it too broke off. However he played for a while until it broke and the shoulder hinge. I warned him about taking outside to show off with hhis friends that it wasn't ready yet. My CF VF-1J SD Valkyrie disappeared after it's right leg broke off. I believe my mother had something to do with it's dissapearance even though she said she dosen't know what happend to it.

I don't think it does. I think the arm armor just looks very similar to the FA VF-11 shield, but if you'll notice, it's on both arms and doesn't look detachable. Your right I took another look an saw it did have two shields. Bizzare.
-
Why does it have have a shield????? Didn't the bullet proof shields come out in 2030 when the VF-11 rolled. Doesn't make sense to have it out attached to an armored VF-0 in the year 2007 or 2006. Armored VF-0 VF-11 Full Armor

Maybe they thought it was cabarnet... the thick, coagulated kind... ADD: Isn't Myk's new av Ladics staple av??? Cabarnet???????

MYK that new new new nnenew Ninja babe has to go she is mesmerizing me every time I look at her run, is she from DOA and when did they make an anime out of it. Any way bring back Mai heh heh.

Oh yeah I also like the way Yamoto made it possible for you to move the thruster nozels up down left and right. I have them facing in the opposite directions of each other similar to what was shown in the later scenes in the beginning of the movie where Hikaru just launches away from the ARMD Carrier.
-
Too bad no one took out the time to invent a miniture anti-gravity device (Heh, heh) Think of what we could accomplish with it. (You know that this is a joke and I am not being serious, but sounds like a good idea though)
-
I may be wrong here, but I think it's only in DYRL that we see the armored VF-1J with a grey painted visor. IIRC in the TV series Hikaru's VF-1J has a white visor. Graham No! The TV VF-1J does have a grey visor. It is shown in serval episodes before long before Hikaru gets the VF-1S. And if you look a pictures related to the TV series and not the movie you see it has a grey visor, so therefore the Yamato VF-1J's visor should be grey. Here is what I did with a recent photo of the VF-1J with FP's that I (ahem) edited, and see what I mean.

You should have placed the a vote for a Max 1S and while your at it a VF-1A Kakizaki.

A while ago someone post a funny pose gallery in the old boards. So I am starting up a gallery for our beloved Macross collection made by Yamato. (All Hail Yamato) The pictures you post can be digitaly enhanced or rendered in a poster or calender design or a fantasy layout if you want, or just post plain pics of them in your rooms or offices it's up to you. But a word to the wise if you are planing to post a lot I suggest linking your pics from another site like Yahoo photos for example to alow those who want post single pics to have enough room to post and not have a pleasure overload looking at such great collections. I will have mine ready as soon as I get film and figure out how to upload them in yahoo photos, so h get craking with those pics and happy posting

Oh yeah! I forgot to mention this in my first post, is that when my fast packs arrived at my job I didn't expect the box to be that big and heavy compared to my 1/48 VF-1's in their packages. I thought the boxes themselves wre to small enoungh to fit at least one in my duffle bag, man was I ever wrong. When I took the booster pack out of the tray it was twice the width of my hand and heavy. But they definately made my VF-1's a whole let better, I feel like a father who was very proud of his son. Considering that they are my babies (Just Kidding)
-
I know what you mean I stood my VF-1S with all it armor in battroid mode and it started leaning back and forward. So this is what I did, I move one leg forward rotated the hips so the left leg is out more and placed the right leg back as if it is walking or crotching for balance. But man those fast packs are heavy in all modes, I may need to start lifting weights just to handle them better. My 1/48's went from an 3 pound lightweight to 5 to 6 pound heavyweight.
-
Yes, they are pretty spiffy. I think everyone is having problems with the single-type micromissles not staying put. I've made it a little better sanding a little bit of excess plastic on the little nubs they connect to, but there's still one missle pack that just doesn't want to stay in place. I had that problem too getting my fast pack set up for my VF-1S. Went smoothly for the other set for VF-1A though

Um... Sabastian that's not Minmay, that's Ishtar from Macross 2. You have to take a closer look to see that's not her. Nope. Minmay's dress is removable and has underwear. Right Graham?? Okay where is it?

In the T.V. series he get shot up and wounded in the end. You think mabye once he landed he would go to the hospital and seek medical treatment immediately. No He chose to see Claudia one last time before he bled to death. He had opportunity and there was the flight deck crew that found that he was bleeding after he left the cockpit of his Valk, there would have been a comotion in trying to locate him and get medical attention. In DYRL he didn't have that luxury when he got pinned in the cockpit of his Valk after Kamujin slams his fist into the heatshield, so what could he but to protect Hikaru and misa one last time by shooting the big guy in the back and dying a hero's death in firey explosion.

Any idea when they are going to show us some picuters of the prototypes, are they going to be in 1/60 or 1/48th scale. I hope 1/48 becaues the 1/60 has little room for detail.
-
Yeah, there is a Franlin Mint store in King Of Prussia Mall in King OF Prussia, Pa hat has them for sale at $90. And I did see the VF-84 Jolly Rodgers F-14A there. It's really heavy when I picked it up, and it does not have retractable landing gears. So I hope Yamato plans on making a lightweight Macross 0 1/48 F-14D.
