  1. yes, NY used to have it at 5k yen as well. I guess their price increase in time regardless if there is a demand or not and yes, Jungle is a good site to watch for items as well since they have a fixed time in terms of updating their items everyday.
  2. http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/search.do;jsessionid=B4BBBE4D5C4BB876537CDE4570113963.shopapp?action=keyword&doujin=all&keyword=25g&searchStrategy=keyword from time to time, Mandarake has one for 5k yen to 6k yen for a sealed one. My first purchase was 4k yen (yes, that is sealed and barely damage on the box) while I purchased another one recently at 5.5k yen. all of the add-on for 25G (tornado parts for renewal is 7k to 8k) is cheap cause the main toy has limited supply at the moment. (this can change if and only if, bandai re-issues 25G) if you dont like waiting and want it available, nippon yasan has it at 7k yen https://www.nippon-yasan.com/figures/5368-macross-f-super-parts-set-for-dx-chogokin-vf-25g-messiah-valkyrie-michel-blanc-custom-renewal-ver-limited-edition.html
  3. Get the super parts while they are cheap. Though the crotch plate from Super parts is just begging for paint.
  4. I am having second thought on sharing this news but it is a 3rd Party China brand that is copying resin kits and converting them to plastic model.

what? so this means pre-order madness again? i think it is just a placeholder though, when a macross toy sold out, it usually is included in top 10 list
  6. anyone crazy and skilled enough to mod that sound booster. The upper portion can easily open to house in missile while the speaker at the front can be converted to Strike Cannons
  7. ^ I dont think it is possible. Warehouse can only store up to 60 days and this will be released end of May while the hi-metal, if I am not mistaken is a September release
  8. In the mean time, I have to look for another assembly kit which are getting rare this day
  9. If you are a fan of the Mobile suit design and there is a RG model of it, I'll say, always go for it. The only problem I have with this is the vent in the face (which has been common to RG). They are too big and wide apart for the scale. There is also a change in proportion if you keep comparing it side by side to MG and HG but I am okay with it as long as it is still good looking. I used to be a fan of OO raiser until I bought a knock off MG, upon playing it and display around, I noticed how impractical the design is (though it is in the scrap bin now). To get even with Bandai in buying a KO, I Pre-ordered the RG
  10. to clear things up, I am confused as well and just saying that almost all of OO raiser model is the same. The raiser wing just peg near the GN drive and does not fully covers or eat up the GN drive. The picture I attached is the MG version and as you can see, it is very similar to RG as well.

^ it might be the warm light that makes it beige.
  12. if i am not mistaken, the MG (as well as PG and HG) also does it that way. The Raiser wing do not peg or sit above the GN Drive.
  13. what I am doing now is similar to what the Bare metal method is but with layers of tamiya masking tape and usage of fresh x-acto blades. Though what Paul Budzik does for other method is really great but really requires lots of practice to have similar end-product as he does. What I really like though is what he used for polishing or buffing the canopy, who really needs future if you can buff your canopy to that level

they are 1/100 and bandai being bandai, I think they can easily get license for those if they wanted to the problem is VF 100's are aweful and imo, did not sell well. Hi-metal before, imo, did not sell well because you can actually buy a yamato for the same price since they are heavily discounted
  15. people who havent paid are happy since, it is a breather for them while people that have to paid upfront will naturally be sad.
  16. imo, it is much more acceptable that it was designed 20 years later. After VF-1, Kawamori has lots of time to improve on VF-1 and other official Variable fighter series. When it is time to design 0, I think it is fair to think that Kawamori has a good understanding what will a Variable Fighter with a conventional technology (with little Overtechnology magic) will look like.
  17. yeah, I already paid mine since it is from YAJ
  18. yo David, I've seen you doing lot of Straight build at Gunpla thread. It will not be for long when those straight build will be painted model though just secure assembly kits for now if you can find one that is reasonably priced
  19. sigh, I thought it is another month of wait, turns out it was wrong
  20. thanks Jefuemon. I remembered that resin dust are more dangerous than plastic and paint dust
  21. So I went ahead and took another set of Pics for my custom. The last time this was shared, there are no missiles yet since I am not done painting them. Fighter Gerwalk Battroid (my least favorite mode, hence, less pictures)
  22. What if BW is limiting the license for VF-4 and they just let Yamato have it as a farewell gift to a company that is about to leave the scene?
  23. on my assembly kit, nothing is glued using super glue or cemented. I built it on my worry that I will mess up on one step or another (and I did, a lot of times) so I need the ability to dis-assemble them when it called for it. But here are the list on the top of my mind that needs to be secured by a stronger glue or cemented. 1. Rotating Wrist part where you attach the arms/manipulators. 2. The rear gray plastic of the gerwalk joint (if you want to straighten the gerwalk joint, it will be hard since it has a tight clearance, I always end up having to push that gray plastic before moving the gerwalk joint) Then of course, clear parts needs to be glued but I only used the common white glue
