Aah, I got it then. These GM's are also P-bandai's, with head-swaps for the GM Kai ground. Dang, they're pretty.

Interesting, I thought the MG GM Space type was more of a greenish color. I busted out my MG Dom that's been in the build pile since 2002, and I'm gonna finish that up. I 've realized that , while I enjoy coming up with project ideas and paint schemes, I just don't have the time to see them through. I build over lunch sometimes at work, and that's all I've got to work with. May as well jus have fun with the build once in a while!

Godammit, now you’ve got me interested in MG’s again... Really though, that might be nice, I don’t really have time or room to paint, and the MGs can still look pretty good without it. Are those GM’s painted, or just panel lined?

Solo: A Star Wars Story, in theaters May 25, 2018
Kelsain replied to Dobber's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I want to see this in the theater, but I don't feel the sense of urgency this time around. I don't know if it's because of my initial skepticism, or if it's just because Star Wars isn't the rare event that it used to be. I'm hopeful that I'll still enjoy the movie, but it's probably going to be next week before I actually get to see it. This is making some of my standard internet browsing difficult; i.e., not reading anything above the previous post! -
Avengers: Infinity War - in theaters April 27, 2018

“Hulk buster armor?” More like “Hulk bust your armor!” As for Thanos & Gamora, remember that the scene is portrayed from his point of view in a one-sided relationship. Despite how cruel, abusive and generally evil Thanos has been, he still cares for her like a real daughter and even hoped to have her succeed him. I think that Gamora’s immediate killing of Fake Thanos May have been the moment that he accepted that she truly despised him, and wasn’t just acting out. Ive seen (fortunately not lived) very similar feelings in RL abusive relationships, both parental & romantic. I’m in no way siding with the abusers, but Thanos IS the main character of IW; and this moment represents his solemn, mistaken choice of his misguided mission over the only thing he truly loves. Regardless of how f’d up that love may be. -
So excited! I love the first one on it's own, but it was also the first movie I ever took my daughter to; so it has a special place in my heart.

So, sort of like the corded phones on the Battlestar Galactica. I really didn't have an interest in watching this show, but dang, that Enterprise looks pretty.

I also saw that they're starting to put out HG kits from Moon Gundam. I was thinking about kit bashing the Theta Plus with a ZZ, but maybe this means it'll be an actual kit...

Avengers: Infinity War - in theaters April 27, 2018
Kelsain replied to azrael's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Yes, but to me, that’s the only reason this movie could work. Infinity War is not intended to be a stand-alone film; in fact, the only reason we can care about these heroes at all, is because we’ve been introduced and come to know them over the past ten years. The interesting part of the good guy side is the shuffling of the different groups, and watching how these characters interact with others that we’ve met, but they haven’t. Considering the “Marvel Villain Problem”, they made the right choice in prioritizing Thanos’ character development, putting him far above a bigger and more-badder generic bad guy. -

Had a thought the other day, and I wonder if they'll do something similar at the beginning of Part 2: -
Ant-Man and the Wasp, in theaters July 6, 2018

I'm there with the Iron Man fatigue. Never really had an interest in seeing IM3, and am ready for the franchise to move on. I also miss the early, clunky, heavy armor versions of the suits, and am not really a fan of the "Nano-suit" idea used by IM, SM & BP now. OTOH, Homecoming was a surprisingly welcome version of Spiderman. I enjoyed the first 2 Raimi movies, and thought rebooting it with Garfield so soon afterward was dumb; never saw those movies. Then I was skeptical about rebooting again, but confident that the MCU would do right by it. They took the right approach of deliberately avoiding many of the things we've already seen in previous films. So they skip the origin story and add in (IMHO) a really compelling villain and some genuine humor. It's one of my favorites in the MCU. -
And I was kinda curious to see where this was gonna go...

I loved the movie, but I absolutely agree with your point here. -
Nice! I like the YF-19 style sensors you've added. I'm looking forward to seeing the whole thing put together.

After 10 years of build up, I didn’t think it could live up to the hype. For me, it far exceeded it. Tremendous. -
Was severely tempted when I clicked on the CDJ link from Facebook. It was actually available! Decided to pass, because almost all my other valks have been in a box for over 4 years. Can’t legitimately justify it. Will regret when pictures start showing up, though...

Gundam Show Thread - MSG thru GQuuuuuuX
Kelsain replied to Black Valkyrie's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I started with Origin, then decided to watch in chronological order. In the last year-ish, I've made it through: Origin, Original MSG, 08th MS, 0080, 0083, Zeta, ZZ & CCA I'd seen CCA before, but it's much more interesting when I know the characters better. Still not great, but much better! I'd also read a novelization of what I assume the 3-part MSG movies were when I was a teen. Skipped Thunderbolt & Igloo. I've watched the first episode of Unicorn now, too. A lot of the series are pretty similar though, so it's easy to get burnt out marathoning it.- 3717 replies

Avengers: Infinity War - in theaters April 27, 2018

All caught up and ready for IW! Personally, I was pretty disappointed by Ragnarok. I was expecting more, from what I’d read online. Maybe I just watched it too soon after Spider-Man, bc I thought that one knocked it outta the park. It cements in my mind that the Thor franchise is the weakest of the MCU, though I really liked the first one. That might have been work, honestly. At this point, the only ones I haven’t seen are Hulk & IM3, which I’m ok with. -

You can skip Iron Man 3 & Thor 2 if you’re pressed for time. My wife skipped those & even Avengers 2. I’m down to Ragnarok, after really enjoying Spider-Man! -

Doh, our 4/27, $20 for both “kids night out” does not line up with the evening showtime here. Guess I’ll just have to take a half day... Watching Spider-Man tonight, 1 more to go after that. -
As a parent of an 8 year old who’s only ever quiet when she’s reading or sleeping, I can hardly even handle the trailer for this movie. I don’t remember what quiet is like. But yesterday as she was incessantly talking over everyone, I was briefly tempted to take her to see it. “There, see? That’s why you’ve gotta be quiet sometimes!” No, I wouldn’t really...

I had a print of that picture on my daughter's wall for a while, while she was in her MLP phase. Also a drawing of Boba Fett riding Rainbow Dash.
