    Mommar: I was really just focusing in on the head unit. I think Yamato did a fantastic job straddling the line of real object vs anime magic, and I wish I could afford to get both the 171 and the 17S. But if you consider all the griping about the D head in the 17 thread (receding hairline, cupcake) and compare it to the stronger chin and angrier look that the 171 has, it seems to be the victor in this category. So far, though, we only have some low-res photos to look at. Until we get some higher res pics or if Yamato tweaks the D, I refrain from declaring a clear winner. Like anyone besides me actually cares who I declare the winner...

    Yeah, the backpack's a little big compared to the show. No more so that the Yamato 17. The canopy looks a little small, but I'm sure they're optimizing it for EX & CF versions. The EX seemed to have a larger canopy to accommodate the EX Gear. Gonna have to put this one ahead of the VF-4. I like this design better, personally. Then I gotta save for the 19F. Looks like the Cavalier might get bumped from my short list now.

    Mwahaha! Man 2012 is gonna be harsh. Need to get, but if they make a cf, I'll probably sell the ex to get that. If they're starting with Alto, they gotta have the fast pack set, right?

    Weighing in on ST: I liked the new movie, and how they followed established Trek time-travel rules to allow the reboot. Besides, the original canon is still there, this is an official alternate universe. Interested to see what comes next, but it better not be Khan. Then what's the point of freeing yourself of what came before? On the ship, the new design has grown on me as well, but I hope they take a little effort to correct some of the scale issues. And build a real engine room set for crying out loud. But yes, movie refit is the perfect Enterprise. My wife was flipping back & forth btw this & the red carpet last night. I don't think the lens flares bothered me too much when watching it straight thru - but damn, in small batches it, I get it. Needs an epilepsy warning.

    I'd like to get these for Xbox, but I played the original on the pc... Is there a way to summarize your choices at the beginning of ME2? Ie: council rescue or kaidan/Ashley? Of course there are the little things too - like the fan... But that doesn't effect further arcs, does it? (null)

    Congrats, TWDC! Glad everything came out alright, even if the conditions were rough. Beautiful name too. It starts off pretty difficult, but hang in there, you two! (null)

    The VF-11 boosters need to be removed before folding the arms out. I've tried skipping this step and they always pop off on their own. I just attribute it to mechanisms too intricate to be represented at tiny scale... and completely fictional.

    So here's a question: Why is purple the color of EVILLL(!!!) in Macross? It's present in pretty much all of the installments, except Plus: M0: Nora's SV-51 SDFM: Minor, but Bodolza's N. Gers were purple. So were the Meltran vessels. DYRL: All the Meltran vessels were purple-ish. Non-ace Q. Rau's were too. M7: All the Varauta fighters were purple, as were many of the Protodeviln. MF: Brera's VF-27, Galaxy, big Vajra ship at the end of Movie1 were all purple! What gives?

    I like that it's something different, wish it had the DYRL head... What doesn't thrill me is the gray canopy frame & trapezoid on the nose. It breaks up the black area too much. (null)

    Nice scheme, but I also like the new pilot sculpt. Nice to have something different. Looking at the artwork, this plane also needs a 1/20 pilot figure!

    Outstanding, as always. Thanks for the pics, too - I'm thinking of converting one of my discount Toynami's into a scout. This will be good reference! (course - it won't look nearly as good...)

    This looks fantastic. I'm really interested to see your ideas on the heat shield, cuz that would make it really pop. But you HAVE to do something about the pink arrow!!! Even using some alcohol to take it off would be an improvement... (null)
