When there's trouble, just call D.W.! As long as we're on this kick, Tale Spin was awesome! Thus began my love affair with flying boats.

I'm not saying they should be exactly the same, or in scale to the animation - I did say "a little closer..." I'll agree, even in the OVA, it looks like the legs would snap off. I guess what I don't like about the swing bar is how the legs dangle from the back plate. In the VF-1, all art has shown that the hip transfer system stays in the chest. From a visual standpoint, and how my hands are used to transforming a VF-1, it just feels wrong. Despite it's flaws, I've gotta give props to the new Bandai 1/72 for reflecting the lineart here (but the scale is unfortunate). In the end, though, it's really about how it looks when the transformation is completed. From that regard, it's looking good. Still beats the hell out of transforming a VF-171. My criticisms are Moo anyway, as I'm not likely to be getting one of these.

VF-1 style swing bar. Meh... The actual swing bars are prominently featured in the animation, could we not try to get something a little closer?

Bad Horse was the head of the Evil League of Evil, from Dr. Horrible's Singalong Blog - a Joss Whedon project which took the net by storm in 2008, during the Hollywood writers' strike. The tangential character of Bad Horse (the Thoroughbred of Sin) was created by Ben Edlund, and was really a horse. Aside from Dr. Horrible himself, other members of the ELE included: Professor Normal, Fake Thomas Jefferson, and Dead (David) Bowie. It just seemed like something right out of the Tick - reminiscent of the Evileers.
-
I'd like to see them adhere a little more to the original character design, that was a bit of a sticking point for me before. And we need Ben Edlund on board. Hey, why not capitalize on the connection to another beloved streaming experience: bring in Bad Horse and the ELE. Whadyathik?

Hmmm, maybe some future would smooth things out.

I finally had a chance to take my 19s out of the box & check it out. So pretty... I did notice something off, though. The rear portion of the canopy looks cloudy. I can't tell if it's smudged or if the plastic itself is stressed. Has anyone else seen something like this? (null)

Ah, I see. Am I correct in assuming this is the VF-1 Riders display? I was hoping that they'd have amped up the customization into a proper 24, not just a 25 with delta wings.

Ooh, I see a YF-24 in there too. Where might I find more photos of these?

I haven't seen the whole episode yet. Hopefully I can finish it over lunch today. So far, ok. But it always takes me about 3 episodes to get into a new Doctor. I don't mind the music of the new titles, but I'm "meh" on the graphics. It seems a little too literal for me, and I miss the vortex. I still think it's better that the 6/7 opening credits, though.

We once drove from Tampa to Atlanta to go to ikea. Had a bathroom to remodel, and fit everything into my corolla! We also spent the weekend there & went to the aquarium. Now, our closest is Pittsburg. It used to be a big production, but now that my girl's old enough for smalland, it's soooo much easier.

They totally ripped that off from GI Joe: Rise of Cobra...
