While I like to stick to a few scales across genres, I'm pretty forgiving of slight variations. For me, 1/4222 is close enough to 1/4150 & 1/4000. So I'm ok putting my Star Destroyer, a Galactica & th Macross next to each other & calling it a day. 1/150 & 1/144? Ok, 1/82 & HO? A bit of a stretch, but workable in some cases. Between animation errors, mid-scaled shots & the fictional nature of the subjects I'm interested in, I'm not too picky. As long as it's close...

Exactly. I've got a few issues with it, but I love it over all. It's at our local 2nd run theater now, so little girl & I might go again. I'm wondering which blu Ray I should preorder, based on the exclusives. Target sounds good, but the box looks terrible...

I thought Rey used the wrong button too. I've only seen the end twice, so I'll admit that I might be wrong.

And I largely accept this viewpoint with some hand-waiving technology. Hyperdrives & the instantaneous communication network have made Relativity and time dilation irrelevant in SW - I don't expect to see those things. Though I did think it was a bit of a cop-out when Pablo Hidalgo said "We don't know if the Star Wars galaxy experiences physics the same way as we do." Physics is pretty universal - literally - and I always preferred to think that their level of technology just meant that these things have little effect on their daily lives, but still exist.

Yeah, that's true. And we didn't notice because we were kids and then had plenty of time to forgive them, while West End Games gave us hyperdrive modifiers & back ups to explain things away. The new one is fresh & I'm older. And as an older & slightly curmudgeonly Star Wars fan, the Hosnian Prime explosion seen in the sky of Takodana really bugged me. I love TFA, and was able to see beyond some of its failings, but that one is a tough pill. JJ Abrams gets great performances out of his actors and hooks your emotions well. But I personally have issues with some of his world building decisions, when some of the rules have already been established and would take five minutes to look up - especially when reigniting franchises that fans are notoriously picky about. I.e.: systems are different stars, not right next door; the lightsaber turns on with the big rectangular thing on the side, not the button at the front. In Trek: the original Enterprise was ~400m, your team redesigned it at ~400m, why did you make it 700m? Virtually 0 travel time in warp & of course, the backseat trans-galactic beaming. Why were these decisions made? Was it laziness of lack of care? While I know I'm not alone on this, ultimately it's my responsibility to let go of my annoyance with this otherwise enjoyable movie. I'm hoping that Ryan Johnson does a little better on 8.

Well, now that you mention it, the travel between Hoth and Bespin was poorly presented as well. Perhaps Kasdan did plan the path of the falcon from Jakku or indicate interstellar distance with regard to Starkiller base. However, between the 2 Trek movies & elements of SW7, I feel like JJ either cannot grasp how big space is, or how space travel works within the fictional universes he's working with.

Considering that JJ has no grasp of space, I doubt he'd thought about that aspect.

STAR WARS Merchandise Episode - 2

Alright! Still haven't bought any yet, but alright! -
Honestly, that's why I liked the family reveal of Kylo Ren. It was just put out there. I think it's likely that Rey is Luke's kid, and if so, I hope they just let it flow organically. Something like: "Please train me, Master Skywalker." "Master Skywalker? <Rey's actual name>, it's me! I can't believe you're alive! ... Don't you know me? I'm your father..." But, you know, better.

No longer feeling bummed at all about missing the Regult last night - because I just found a 3.75" Rey figure for my daughter today! 'Scuse me, carry on...

Really tempted me there. Had one in my cart, mulled it a bit, decided "meh, what the hell, i can sell it if I change my mind." Then it's gone. Haha, this always happens. I think I might've really been waiting for this to happen. To have the decision made for me. It's all good, as I've recently decided to divest from my 1/100 series. I may reevaluate my stance on this scale when the deltas come out, or if they make a q rau or Vf-11. I think the glaug is awesome, but pretty $$ for the size. I like keeping scales consistent, and I've already got 1/12, 1/60, 1/72, 1/144 & 1/4000ish. And nowhere to put them...

While my opinion of robotech has changed over the years - man, that opening theme music does strike a chord of youthful excitement in my heart.

So wait, the toothpick extends from the saber hilt, and then another takes it's place? -
Probably 5cm, right?

Lightsaber is wrong too. Revan wielded twin sabers, with the teal and orange special saber crystals that could be found toward the end. And was a girl. -

Ooh, 6" atat driver & classic snowtrooper too. Now, will it be easier to find the Finn/Rey/Maz combo set than individual Rey? -
While I might not buy both of them, I love the A & F. We'll have to see, when the time comes. Maybe a 1/60 A, and a 1/72 F.

I might pick up a battroid, but will probably grab some f-toys for fighters.

Thanks. Hmm, might be a bit steep for this scale.

1/700 would make it easier to add stock support vehicles & buildings to the scene. Heck, add the nearby harbor and stock it with ships! Good luck with your project!

Haha, I was going to kitbash my 1D & gerwalk kits together. The addition of Hikaru & Minmay figs might just make me buy the new kit... Although I'm not sure if they mean resin pilot figures or bigger ones to display alongside it. Similarly, I'd considered converting a hasegawa Macross into storm attacker. Not that I actually do these things anyway...
