    Oh yeah, it's hard for me to consider that Kotor is not canon. That was some of the best Star Wars since Empire. I see the purge as a chance for Lucasfilm to look back & evaluate what's come before. If they decide some of it is good, useful or doesn't affect oncoming stories, I imagine some of it will get rolled back in. Hopefully Kotor will be on that list.

    Meh, I didn't care for the Thrawn trilogy. I enjoyed many books, but never really cared for the further Skywalker/Solo family adventures. I think the best EU stuff was the worldbuilding material for the RPG, which wormed its way into the fabric of the EU novels. Dave Filoni seems to honor these sources to a degree and a lot of it can be seen in Clone Wars & Rebels. See Gozanti cruisers & Project Shantipole.

    The Elysion could also be another variation of the Quarter. Remember: Battle 5,7, 13, Galaxy & Frontier are all New Macross class carriers that have appeared in animation, and they all look very different.

    They eventually did this with Frontier models. I'm absolutely certain that Bandai will release limited edition itasha versions of delta platoon. Probably in 1/72.

    Indeed. As a quick exercise, I stretched the main leg portion a little & thinned the "thighs" a bit. I think it makes a big difference. I feel these same adjustments would make the cruiser look better as well. Update - side by side comparison.

    Re holographic tech: I assumed Kaname was calling in from the office, after monitoring the test. I didn't get the impression that she was invisible. As for Frejya's outfit, perhaps it was projected from the floor? At least until she gets her own equipment. What I also wondered in that scene was: why do the windows black out in an emergency? Who's idea was that? Or are they projected images of the outside, and not actually windows? Again, who's idea was that?

    But it won't work if it can't be seen, all pink & sparkly... My thought - we know the FQ has value in the inertial dampening stuff & probably a few other elements of the Valk. But, the big gaudy fold crystal pieces have really only been seen on the YF-29 (at least in the show), which was specifically built to disrupt fold communications. The VF-31's in Delta Platoon have the big crystals as part of their Sound Force 2 role, but the 31A's don't need them as part of their more-normal VF role.

    Looks like a circle, with those 4 pieces that expand out. That makes it look more ovaly from this angle.

    He has been recording new Star Wars dialogue this year for Rebels. He's got the voice right again too. It'd be easy to record any R1 dialogue at the same time.
