Macross Δ (Delta) - Mission 18 - READ 1st POST
Kelsain replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
All the griping over the fighter-only combat and relative airspeed advantage, etc aside... Why hasn't anyone in Delta Platoon thought about doing this When there's an SV-262 on their tail? -
Looks like someone will have to do a Batman custom on that one.

So, what does Freyja officially say when Hayate finds her in the shipping container? I've been suspicious about that "Going to the bathroom was hard..." line.- 183 replies

It'll give me a good excuse to start up again at least. You said you're using sketch up? I have done a few projects in FormZ, which is a simpler Mac friendly SolidWorks. I have issues doing panel lines, though. So far, my simple successes are Lego SDFM helmets & 6" scale Captain Rex pistols for a black series conversion. I've tried to model some Macross ships, but haven't messed with it much lately.

It might be a while before we get the printer set up in the lab. One of the things we're waiting on is a computer to run it! We are totally going to order 2 distinct supplies of resin, though. 1 for relevant projects, 1 for personal.

STAR WARS Merchandise Episode - 2

I really like the sculpt of Kanan & Sabine, but I'm not feeling Hera. Maybe she just looks too much like a cosplayer. Maybe it's the minimizing of those lovely green eyes. -
STAR WARS Merchandise Episode - 2
Kelsain replied to Black Valkyrie's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Comes with a 1/12 scale Epi-Pen in case of 1/12 scale bee stings. -
Heh, I should have access to a resin printer soon, after my wife gets it set up. Open source model? At that point, I'll really need to start brushing up on my 3D skills...

Just started this tonight. Wife & I only got one episode in before she passed out, but it's a great start!

Macross Δ (Delta) - Mission 15 - READ 1st POST

It would be interesting if it were Roid & Keith who dropped the DE bomb. Perhaps they didn't really know what they were dropping - it might've been provided to them as an effective way to drive off the NUNS, or Gramia might've known, but told K&R nothing about the specifics. This might explain the "turning white wings black" and how K&R are "in this together since that day" angle. While Keith showed Heinz the crater to steel his little brother's resolve, he didn't seem happy about it, and that may be why he refuses to get chummy with the singer; giving his loyalty to the wind, however it may blow, as an out. -
The wife & I have tried this for the last few days. She works at a historic college, so there are a lot of critters & stops near her. I've been home with a sick kid, and there are hardly any pokemon in my neighborhood. So far, I've only caught 5 pokemon, including a Venonat at my desk just now. I agree, just like Neko Atsume, this will probably occupy everyone for about a month, then be forgotten. On the other hand, it's Pokemon, which has weathered the changes of the last 20 years surprisingly well.

On mine, I put the legs together as normal, but only used a little dot of glue to hold the leg insert. After attaching the intake to the fuselage, I slid on the lower leg and rotated it upward until it just made contact with the back plate. Then I slid it off, added some glue on the insert & a dab of glue on the back plate. Simpler, with the desired effect. My work probably wasn't as straight as that guy's in the magazine, but would have been worse using that technique.

I'm ok thinking of it as a smaller accessory ship, similar to the Sunnyflower or Hollywood ships in the 7 Fleet. Maybe it's an earlier model to combat congestion in the main ship. In the overhead shot for ep13, there are far fewer buildings than on City7. Let's call it a "Suburb-Class" colony ship. Keep in mind too, that Ragna was already inhabited when the fleet arrived. Maybe they just left one colony ship and its escort as part of the UN inclusion of Ragna, while the rest of the fleet kept searching for an uncivilized planet. -
There were four good things about that movie: Heather Graham & Mimi Rogers.

Has there been any official description, say in the Chronicle, about how the Miclone chambers actually work? In my head, I had always presumed that the chambers read the DNA of the occupant, and wrote a Miclone sized clone directly from it. But going the other way, it was a guideline that would include the necessary technology & sturctural elements to support a 10m tall humanoid. The transferring of memories and intelligence would be a bit more complicated though. Though unofficial, this Headcanon was never really contradicted until we saw the Macronized families and children on the Frontier fleet. That doesn't really work with this idea. So as I have recently discovered, through the Delta Mecha/Tech thread, that Fold Waves are not just a more quantified and advanced understanding of Song Energy, but a completely different thing - is there official info about the Chambers? Cheers!

Stonewall? That was an Emmerich movie? I haven't seen it (I've been actively avoiding his movies since Godzilla), but that seems really out of place on the list...- 854 replies

I was planning to use the kotobukiya 1/100 hands on a 1/72 gerwalk conversion - before the gerwalk kit came out. Don't forget that Valkyries are only 2/3 the size of a Gundam. So I'd recommend 1/144 hands for the hi metal. They might be a little small, but probably better than the Yamato v2 hands. Not sure what the offerings are for full articulation at that scale, aside from the RG gundams.
