If you're really don't want it you might want to consider sending an email to the guy who you beat out in the bidding and tell him you made a mistake and you'll sell it to him. I have no idea if it'd work but it might be worth a try.
-
That could hurt a lot. If you want one (1/48) a member here is selling one for $175 shipped in the US which I think is a good price. If I collected DYRL stuff I woulda grabbed it. I would put the value of a 1/60 to be approximately $50.

Is it like XXX 2 bad? That crap was just on Starz and there was a moment when I thought "No, it is not truly this bad." I sat through The Postman, i thought i could sit through anything, but after Ice Cube launched a motor boat onto a bridge to land perfectly on a cop car that then exploded only to step out of the boat non-chalantly and get into a mega powerful truck and speed off after a smart remark. Yeah, I had to change the channel as quickly as possible.

Damn the consumer for demanding goods! Damn him to death! Where does he get off thinking that suppliers should supply him with the goods he is demanding? Wait, is that not your contention? Damn posters for meandering slightly off-topic! Shouldn't they know to stick to explicitly what the name of this thread is and only shine sunshine up Yamato's arse! How dare anyone voice dissention! How dare anyone suggest other options! Seriously Eugimon, you want a soapbox? People have a right to voice their opinions to the valks they like, don't like, would prefer, or whatever. I guess you have a right to piss and moan too. I guess we all contribute in our own special ways

Actually, there are only three problems preventing a longer heatshield from my quick glance at it (by all means, you guys with the 1D conversions out there let me know what I'm missing here). The yellow circled items are attachment points for the flap that opens up to pass the head to pass through the back of the valk. They can be pretty drastically reduced in thickness and I think maintain their functionality. The red circle is the part that holds the super kits tight while in battloid mode. I think this could be fixed on the two sitters by placing this on the backpack rather than in the back of the valk. The green circles are probably the trickiest. They're fixed on the single pilot version 1/48s but they'd have to be rolling on the 2 seaters. This would allow the heat shield to roll further back into the cavity created by the first two modifications. The trick would be to make these be able to roll while not creating a large gap between the chest plate and the fuselage in battloid mode. Edit - thought on the green circles. Right now the 1/48s have tabs on the heatshield that stick into valk. You might be able to solve the rolling attachments by simply having tabs on the valk that stick into the heatshield. The downside would be two grooves in the heatshield toward the top (obviously you could only have these grooves at the thickest part of the heatshield because otherwise it would just pop off constantly. So, is it impossible? Heck, I don't build toys, I couldn't tell you. Seems do-able to me though.

man, that's a tease Oceanfrr, did you go? Was it there? -
I'm really hoping if we keep making the 1/48s a success they will eventually get around the hurdles and make the 2 seaters.

The Mars Base episode, in my vague recollection, had pretty good animation. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, it's been a while since I saw it.

Here's the dilemma, I want one of each. Should I get one of the super Stealths and one of the normal stealths and one of the camo LVs or just stick to the Super Stealth and the camo LV? Decisions decisions....
-
So apparently Sebastian is in the Chinese mafia.... "You need me to make somebody disappear for you? Yeah, we can do that."
-
So, it's been another day and more people have looked at the additional pictures. Some Stealths have a gray heat shield, some have a black heat shield, what do you think the final verdict is? I think it's gray, the initial shot with the black heatshield looks way photoshopped to me. Maybe the one for the pics didn't have a heat shield at all so they just photoshopped a black one in later.

Goo - I just finished Orguss02. That was.... special. Really, I didn't find it to be a horrible anime but it didn't seem to capture any of the charm of the original series. I suppose that's a topic for a thread I missed about 15 years ago though Now that I understand that the Space Island was a plot device used to rush the characters I appreciate it a lot more. In the end, did we get a shot of the dinosaur people all being happy? They seemed like the saddest group to me.

Dobber, I think patience is a key at this point. I believe many people don't put up preorders until they receive certain solid information (like how many they can get, for what price, and when). BBTS probably is banking off past experience where they feel comfortable enough putting the preorder out there already but many more sites will be following suits. It might also be that BBTS updates their site on a different schedule from other online stores.
-
Did you guys notice the BBTS pictures show a gray heatshield on the Stealth while the pictures on the first page show it as super dark black. I think the gray works much better. PS - I'm buying both but I would love for at least one to be an LE. I still would have preferred a TV Max 1A.

I agree Honneamise with pretty much all of that. Like I said earlier, I felt the ending was just kind of a "It has ended... anything now is possible." I don't really think there is a straight answer on what that ending actually was. To be honest, with how completely out there and whacky that entire series was (I mean that in a good way though, I found it fantastic in both the fantasy sense and the overall quality) the ending seems to fit perfectly.

So if Toynami doesn't show a Beta there do we get to write it off as vaporware??? -
I got 100% on somethin'! Unfortunately, I don't think I've ever seen an episode of Stargate... As a matter of fact, the X-files, Serenity(just the movie), The Matrix, and Cowboy Bebop were the only shows on this I ever watched. You are versatile and diverse in your thinking. You have an open mind to that which seems highly unlikely and accept it with a bit of humor. Now if only aliens would stop trying to take over your body. SG-1 (Stargate) 100% Nebuchadnezzar (The Matrix) 88% Millennium Falcon (Star Wars) 88% Serenity (Firefly) 88% Deep Space Nine (Star Trek) 75% Andromeda Ascendant (Andromeda) 63% FBI's X-Files Division (The X-Files) 63% Moya (Farscape) 63% Babylon 5 (Babylon 5) 63% Enterprise D (Star Trek) 50% Bebop (Cowboy Bebop) 38% Galactica (Battlestar: Galactica) 31%

Okay, can somebody lay down what the "space island" is and why it is going to have disastrous consequences if it smashes into the "daitokuiten." Why isn't the daitokuiten located at the place where the bomb was originally placed? Is the space island just a comet that coincidentally is in an orbit that will have it smash into this mysterious spot? Would Kei's kid have smaller antennas than the other Eimann's?

Wow, looks like twin moons is tough to beat at the moment (if you live in the US and consider shipping).

It's nicer but I would still like to see some of the colors darker still. I would also like the chocolate brown pieces to be black to match the nose trim. EDIT - and the gun on the head shouldn't be silver either.

1) Single but dating. Fortunately for me (in the collecting sense only), our jobs keep us so busy I occasionally forget what my GF looks like. That means less spending money on her and we both have jobs that occasionally pay for our food and such. 2) I am a modified completist. I do not buy DYRL stuff. If it was shown in the TV show I probably own it. If it was only shown in DYRL then I don't own it. Saved me from buying three 1/48s and some pricey 1/55s and JMs. (Although I did breakdown and buy every version of the SuperO and Elint 'cause they're just too unique). I also am a completist as far as Mac7 and Mac+ goods. The only other toys I buy are MOSPEADA toys, I am a completist of those as well. 3) A nice job.

I just watched the HK subs. They are usually referred to as "the special point" toward the end of the series. In the beginning I believe it was something different, something like the Transformer or something like that.

I think Renato's argument is that they never make it clear that all four men were shot. They show all men drawing their guns but then it starts going into montage mode and we never do see all men getting hit by a slug and then collapsing to the ground. The odds of all four men being killed are astronomically against it but I do believe that was the show's intention. Unfortunately the subtitles left me way vague on how exactly the time/space could be restored. Everyone seemed to think that Kei and Olsen would arrive at the Special Point and have a decision on what reality they wanted to restore. Why? When they got there it sure didn't seem like it would have mattered if either the Eimann or the Chirum had managed to implant mind control devices (or brainwashsed) Kei and Olsen.

Poor mutilated Legioss. I can only confirm everything that Guppy said.
