  1. No, you can talk about the SHOWS and you can buy the shows at RT.com, you can not talk about the TOYS or where to buy them. That's it.
  2. 3x Gakken Diecast 2 mode changers = $20-$45 each depending on condition (all are Singapore versions) 2x Gakken blue triple changers = $20-$45 each depending on condition 1x Gakken 1/72 triple changer = $10-$25 depending on condition 1x Matchbox Invid = ?? $15? I got no idea. If the items had boxes my higher value limit would increase by about $15 on most those items.
  3. Just a little correction here, you're wrong about RT.com. Not only can you discuss Macross, GCM and SDCSC but they have their own forum on that site just for those shows. There's threads in there about the originals that cover a variety of subjects although the fans there tend to be far less educated about the originals than they do over here. Point is, HG sells those goods and they have no problems letting people discuss them. There are only two things HG doesn't want you discussing on their site 1) manufacturers of non-Robotech toys and the actual toys themselves. As long as you don't say Yamato, Bandai, Banpresto, or even Joons you'll be fine. Saying "My 1/48 Hikaru VF-1J is way better than my MPC" will also likely get your comment deleted. They don't want you guiding customers away to other products. 2) You can't mention where to get things. This has to make sense to everyone. You can't say "Wow, MPCs go for way cheaper on eBay" because it destroys the entire point of their website. Now, both of these rules do get enforced to a ridiculous extreme. For example, say someone says "Can you tell me where I can find a classic Robotech toy?" Well, there are no classic RT toys for sale at RT.com so you'd think it might be okay to say "Yeah, go to Rob's classic toy hut in Guam" but HG doesn't allow that because you're directing the person away from RT.com... even though they don't sell what the person is looking for.
  4. Okay, do you guys remember who Bowie was? Bowie was the whiny kid who was like "Oh I so hate being in the military." "Oh, I just want to play piano Dana." "Oh Dana, why do I have to fight?" Then he fell in love with Musica and ran away from the military with her committing God knows how many illegal acts in the process. At what point does any of that sound like commander material?
  5. Okay guys, everyone repeat after me: Macrossworld is a fansite made by fans, for fans. Robotech.com is a commercial site, made by harmony gold to sell harmony gold merchandise. How in the world can you possibly be upset at HG and RT.com for not wanting you to advertise their competition on their site designed to sell their goods? Be upset at the fact they shut down RT fansites (allegedly, I wouldn't know) but don't be upset at the fact they monitor their own site to make sure it's still accomplishing its mission. This means no "eBay" or "Yamato" or even "Bandai" talk on RT.com and that actually makes sense. As to everything else, it's just a combo of each MPC being limited and that RT fans don't know about Yamato.
  6. So when Leonard's biggest fan said "Is Leonard a villain" the guy actually considered who he was talking to and said "no." If that doesn't prove it then nothing does!
  7. there's a member here desperately seeking a super stealth box, you should ask him to shoot you an offer.... can't remember who it was though -

    1/48 Gbp

Saw that one coming. Add another 8 weeks for cargo shipping... well, September is gonna be sweet!
  9. When I was a kid I saw a Tom Cruise film (I think) where he was tracking a unicorn and got in a fight with the devil. I was really young so I might be messing it up. I remember thinking the devil looked cool.
  10. Great... so the moral of this story is "If you see a good deal on a 1/48 valk... don't buy it." That's nice. We're definitely going to need to get a lot more info on this.
  11. Oh no, I should have specified, those are all 1/60s with the exception of two pictures that are of a 1/48 VF-1S (one with strike parts).
  12. Okay, in the spirit of the "gallery" i'm going to post some of the pics that are being used for review purposes at the www.anymoon.com blogsite. There are still lots of toys that needed to be added over there and as they do I'll probably post my favorite pics (they are my pictures afterall) over here also. The site features reviews and some facts about Macross, GCM, and Robotech toys (go there, it's cool and it's only going to get better, it's still beta at the moment). Since this is a Yamato only thread though I won't spam it with anything else:
  13. You're right, the pic you're showing is at a better angle. The problem is, the two pics I posted (the MPC and the 1/60) are from approximately the exact same angle for each toy. That means the MPC when pictured at the same angle as the 1/60 looks better. I have no doubt that if I had a pic of the MPC from the exact same angle as the 1/60 you're showing the MPC would still look better. Don't get me wrong, I think both of these are just so-so toys but when it comes to a "which looks better in GERWALK/Guardian configuration?" debate I'm afraid the MPC is a pretty easy winner. Not to mention you can actually pose the MPC doing stuff in GERWALK where the 1/60 is absolutely useless doing anything other than standing in that mode. More pics from my www.anymoon.com (not that they prove anything, I'm just trying to get the site some traffic )
  14. You're too old to collect toys anyway. You should put them in their boxes and ship them to me, let me worry about how to store them.

    Ok Here Is My Stuff

To my knowledge no, I've been watching this board and eBay for the last couple years and that's how I get my price range for items. As you can imagine, when eBay is one of your basises for determining price the range can vary quite a bit.
  16. You know, it's the damnedest thing about the moisture in my house, I sometimes think it's because I keep the windows in those rooms closed all the time that they get the moisture. Maybe they get moisture because the temperature outside is cold and the house is pretty toasty inside and it causes a condensation effect? Clearly I'm just pretty clueless about it. The windows are double-paned and seem to make a great seal when closed but the closet is in pretty close proximity to one. As a result of my discovery I placed all my most valuable boxes in a plastic tote with a desicant package. As an experiment I put a ton of MPCs in a big garbage bag and taped it sealed shut and left that in the closet where the old cardboard box was. Side note, my biggest fear about earthquakes won't be the stuff I have stored (unless there's a fire) but rather all my display cases! Man, if those took a tumble it'd suck but I think the more realistic problem would be that the toys would fall over, bump the door open, and then fall to the floor.

    Ok Here Is My Stuff

I bought my elint for a little above $550 and the only way I can tell I wasn't the first one to open it is because the tape no longer sealed the box closed. That said, around the same time I bought mine in that condition someone shelled out a few hundred for a loose one. Honestly, it's just really really hard to tell with the loose ones because the price can fluctuate pretty dramatically. I remember one member on these boards (probably Kanata) was really pissed with themselves for missing an auction where a complete VE-1 went for like under $200. Do the landing gears work on yours? I noticed some were out in the picture. I am seriously interested in the items I listed in my first post (JM VF-1A, HCM VF-1A, and Bandai VF-1A) if you do decide to sell. If that's the route you're going to go please shoot me a PM and let me know what kind of pricing you would like and we'll see if we can't work something out>
  18. White version? I thought the only difference with the Mac7 VF-11 was the trim paint?

    Ok Here Is My Stuff

you should sell me the hikaru joke machine and maybe that VF-1A HCM, and maybe that VF-1A Bandai.... oh my Edit - spelling Edit II, very nice collection you got there.
  20. Just curious, are you kidding or are you serious? Sometimes it's really hard to detect sarcasm on these boards. The way the legs rotate in the middle is pretty weak and if you have fastpacks you can't get that outward angle at all. Pretty lame in my book. This picture is courtesy of www.anymoon.com and it's review of the original 1/60 releases.
  21. I just had an unpleasant surprise. I live in the bay area and there's lots o' fog about. Usually I don't think the inside of my house gets it too bad but every now and then I notice mold build up around the windows. Anyway, I just pulled a cardboard box out of my closet that I had stuffed with toys and a few of them have what appears to be the very early stages of water damage. The toys that I just threw in that closet all appear to be fine but for some reason, a few of the toys in that cardboard box look like they got the worse of it. I'm wondering if that cardboard box didn't somehow facilitate the water damage??? I dunno, glad I caught it now!
  22. Well of course you did. I'm kinda surprised you only got one!
  23. A while back a guy unloaded a ton of these on eBay for about $20 a shot. I don't know anyone who has built the model but it looks interesting enough. Certainly can't be worse than the Matchbox toy.
  24. Ouch man, that's not fair. JM V2.0 was made illegal before everyone could get one
  25. Well, if it weren't for the fact Low Vis and Camo paint jobs make absolutely no sense on fastpacks I would have loved to have seen those. I guess economically that'd also make no sense for Yamato. I'm all for a more gray less blue like the original Takatoku fast packs.
