Yeah, if we're seeing a 21, I don't think it'll be until this time next year.

Alphas would be... but I think the sentiment is that he'd like to see cheap plastic Alphas of any scale.

The question is, is it a second edition? I'd love to see detailed pics of the fragile parts vs the improved parts. I'd love a lot of things though...

Thanks guys! It all makes sense to me now

Please let me know as I was planning on doing a little Gashapon review thread on my website for Kaiyodo 001, Kaiyodo 002, & Bandai Third. Did Bandai release a First and a Second a while agoo and that's why it just coincedentally seems to me that they picked up where Kaiyodo left off?

The price is definitely cheaper for folks like me. What are other people going to do? You buy the YF-19 now and pay $30 to ship it to you. You buy the Fast Pack later and pay $20 to ship it to you. I buy the giftset later and save $15 on the MSRP of both items packaged separately and have one item shipped to me for $40. Add to that the benefit of a giftset taking up less space in the closet and the potential regularizing of the pricing (some people are paying $150, some people are paying $200, at some point we're all going to know a reasonable price to pay for these things).

It's a bootleg!!

I'm guessing the OVAs won't be subtitled in English so that wouldn't do much for me. I'm very curious to see if this will be a reissue or will incorporate improvements to the overall design. I would really like for Yamato to get back to basics and not make me buy things I don't want to get a toy i do.

Of all the Mac+ valks the YF-19 is my least favorite... but I definitely love them all. I simply can't stand the ultra awkard Gerwalk mode for any of the valks and I think the 19 is the worst offender. In battloid mode the YF-19 reminds me of Whoa from Kung Pao, Enter the Fist. This kinda sounds like trashing but let me reiterate I do love it. On the drawings, is it just me or do the super parts seem kinda cumbersome?

Pardon my ignorance, what's a candy toy?

Oops, my bad, you can tell I'm not a Transformers guy. Apparently the name I meant was Unicron... which I find funny since it's almost Unicorn. -
1/48 Variable Legioss Kit?

Exactly the same. -
Didn't Kaiyodo give up and Bandai took over the Gashapon series? I know Kaiyodo made series one and two but then there's the Bandai "Third Mission" gashapon which seems to feature all the figures that hadn't been included in Kaiyodo/Movic's first two series. Granted, the Bandai figures are significantly different from the Kaiyodo figures but it does seem like Bandai took over the torch.

Curse your common sense! I honestly think the answer is that Toynami sees other companies making money off of Macross valkyries and thinks "If they can do that, so can we!" They don't see companies making money of Mospeada so they don't they can either (especially after their MPC Alpha debacle). I also think the backlash against their MPC collection probably destroyed its profitability leaving them with few vendors wanting to pedal their goods so now they're abandoning the premium toy market and going for the lower-end. So, they're afraid to try their hand at relatively untested licenses (Mospeada... speaking in modern terms of course) and they know they've lost to Yamato in the premium market so now it's time to take on those suckers at Banpresto! Um wait, they're two months late on their "wave 2" of their 1/100s now.... nevermind... guess they couldn't compete there either.

If you're talking about Janice, she's a robot. They might have actually been trying to make her sound unnatural. -
Well I was kinda diggin' seein' my gratuitous picture post over and over again. If anybody wants to see more pics visit my website mmmmkay?

It could also have just been Eugimon's comment that Yamato will bounce from the M0 license to the M+ license. I think this is extremely highly likely. I don't think we'll see an SV-51 any time soon though, or a YF-21 for that matter. More likely we'll get the YF-19, then we'll get the VF-0 Shin, then we'll get the VF-19A, then we'll get the VF-0 CF (TV version), then we'll get something new... about this time next year, like an SV-51 and a YF-21...

based on the 1/48 but without the arm droopage. Nice.

If I had to guess, and I do, 'cause that's my nature, I think Eugimon is a prophet. I wonder if I killed him if he would become a martyr... JUST KIDDING!

Dr Lang sure made Janice have a pretty mouth... -
Looks like they plan on releasing "supplements" so I'd guess we'll see some new stuff under the Shadow Chronicles name and then likely a bunch of reprinted information from the Invid Invasion and Lancer's Rockers in another book.

Okay, I'll weigh back in with an updated guess. Shin giftset will come with the light gray Ghost. I think they will also give you the parts to make it a light gray drone if you like... it just seems so cheap and easy to do and just adds one more reason to buy a Shin giftset. I also think it'd make people happier because they could then not attach the full Ghost and display it on its own as the drone or what have you. That's a pretty key difference between the Ghost and the Armor parts. Strike cannon or no, no matter what you weren't going to be able to display the armor parts (or play with them) if they weren't on a valk. If the Ghost comes with the other parts it becomes its own toy which is a selling point. If you remove the drone parts from the Giftset it suddenly behooves people to just buy the 0A and separately sold Ghost set instead of the giftset. The more creatively painted Ghost will be sold separately with full drone parts and ability to hook up to any 1/60 VF-0.

Only if Yamato goes bankrupt....
