So my Max VF-1J trade post is missing. Maybe I just can't find it? I normally find threads by just clicking the ol' "View New Posts" button but I don't see it. I tried the search for all threads I started and didn't see it there either. I know Roy Focker didn't like it because he/she thought it was a "silent auction" thread (which it wasn't, every potential buyer was told that a price would actually be posted if no trade came through) but even if it were a silent auction it would have just been moved to the "where to buy/auctions" section right? I must just be looking in the wrong spot?

I don't think *we all* hate MacII valks. I like 'em, just more partial to some of the others. You might want to check that person's particular avatar though, I'm sure you'll find they're quite serious.

Did they take it down? I get a redirect to Fox. I did watch the Youtube preview and so far I agree with the "Who's the super hero?" criticism. McClane (sp?) was an alcoholic reluctant hero. Still, you can edit any Die Hard movie to make it seem like McClane was a total arsekicker so maybe this is just an instance of the preview folks kinda missing the point.

Maybe they like the look? Maybe they expect a $200 toy to be capable of doing everything? Maybe they have limited display case room and don't think they'll be able to fit it with the wings fully out?

I was just teasing you. Clearly I'm in a bit of a mood regarding the toy pricing right now. Everything is worth what the purchaser will pay. I mean, let's say I think $145 shipped is a better price on the 0A, I'm still just fussing over $15.

Hey, and more power to them. It's not like I don't over-spend on toys myself quite a bit. I just normally don't say "Jeez, I'm thrilled I overspent!" I usually say something like "Eh, couldn't take it anymore and blew the extra cash." Case in point: eBay YF-19 That's someone who has substantially marked up the YF-19, then marked it up again to recoup eBay fees, and is selling it for less than $180...

The prices you people are happy to get astound me. This thing is being sold by someone who is making money on the YF-19 for $165 shipped within the US on this very board. Why is everyone paying $190 and not getting absolutely pissed? Is it seriously worth an extra $25 just to have it 2 weeks sooner? I think it's sloppy. The only time it really will matter is when you pick up the YF-19 though. I remember the first time I picked up a 1/72 version and was like "Hmm, that's kinda lame" and I do find it a bit sad that I'll have the same feeling with the 1/60 version.

This is lame. This guy stated his opinion, one that you've already stated you disagreed with, but you still responded anyway in a way which can easily be construed as egging him on. Who is baiting who? You should just learn that every anti-Mac7 post doesn't need your personal stamp of disapproval. Edit- This is constructive criticism, I see myself behaving similarly on other subjects.

Granted, I did take it out of the box for this shot but as you can see, the heatshield has no sticker applied. If you want a picture of the actual sticker sheet that's going to take much longer as I don't actually have one on hand.

I can say with absolute certainty that the heatshield has no sticker on it as delivered by the factory. If you need pics for proof let me know.

It'd be cool if they had a valk they knew they were going to release at X repaints or variants of and to offer the valk individually or as part of a gift set that included part of the 1/60 Monster for an obvious premium. I'd probably be about the only person that thinks that's a good idea though.

Okay, you pay $200 for toys full of compromises and imperfections. When toys get this expensive we all have a right to demand more from them. When toys are meant to resemble something and they inexplicably don't I don't feel like it's not too random a criticism to point that out and express discontent. Reality is, the female-dogging is part of collecting and it increases exponentially with price. Seriously, how hard is it to get the paint scheme seen in an anime correct? Actually, i believe you got his argument completely backward. He's saying the toys should be like what we see in TV, not whatever HFH or Yamato decide on a whim they like better:

Was it NB4M? One of the members here made one with a heat shield that is not removeable. I can't say I remember the threads, or if I even saw it, but I do remember discussion about it. I can't say anything as to the head but when the shoulders already hang so low what's a little droopage with the head? They definitely have my permission to develop a new frame It's not like the Zero or 19 weren't new frames entirely. You get 2 for 1 with both the 19 and the 2 seater (YF/VF-19, VE/T-1). Both could get repaints but yes, I know my argument has the inherent flaw of respective popularity.

I don't own one but I'll wager a guess.... maybe it's because you're pulling on it too hard!
