  1. 1) Enemy mechs (Glaug/Regult) 2) SDF-1 (1/3000 seems a good scale) 3) 1/60 scale VF-17
  2. You can really put anything you want in a license so they're really hard to stereotype. It's all up to lawyers and companies trying to squeeze every penny out of a title. For example, if you know of a company interested in producing only vending machine toys for your license, another company that just wants to make models, another company that just wants to do one item from the show, and a final huge company that wants to do a big series of toys you write up a license that has little clauses that disperse the other chunks out if the previously mentioned companies make it clear it will be profitable to you. If the big company insists on carte blanche then you have a lot of bargaining chips "Well, the license is worth $x because these companies have offered $y for small portions."
  3. It's no wonder Earth's forces were so easily over-run.
  4. Did I see a chick explode from the inside in the hospital? Crazy.
  5. LOL, next week's podcast, we attack Robotech's toy commercials. No plot, bad acting, and crappy toys. Stay tuned to our slaying of the worst mini movies ever! I'm just joshing, I haven't heard the podcast yet but it did strike me as something very odd bother with. Is HG actually selling it now or is it still just a pointless bonus on some DVDs?
  6. needs Max fast packs!
  7. I have no idea but it sounds delicious.
  8. You mean "figuratively" and not "literally." If that were literally true we'd have bigger problems than broken toys.
  9. I've got quite a bit of experience transforming 1/48s for my site. When I transform the supers I take off the missiles and the missile booms but only because they'd fall off during a transformation anyway. I think the backpack gets put under far more stress from adding/removing parts than it does in transformation. I've only broken one bp8 and in the end it was my fault because I hadn't recessed the small triangular antenna when I brought the backpack down.
  10. The video of the MPC has a good side profile of the bike... I think it looks better than I remembered. I still have some hopes for the Toynami although obviously I have more than a little apprehension regarding build quality.
  11. And Ghostbusters is still cool after all these years.
  12. If memory serves, Corg = Batra and Sera = Sorji.
  13. Sorry Vermillion21, the only pics that exist are of a prototype we have heard has been scrapped to be retooled. No one has pics yet of a retooled version.
  14. oh.. that's awkward.
  15. I'll probably own all of them... some maybe only briefly. I think MegaHouse is asking a bit much though but a lot of that is because I have to have it shipped from Japan. I don't know why HG wouldn't work out a distribution deal with them though... maybe they will. I could definitely see me scooping up a $49.99 MH ride armor but when it gets to be $75 shipped it gets a bit tougher. The Toynami MPC will probably be easily had for that same price and with diecast and I'm pretty sure it's bigger. I really will need to see some good bike comparison shots though. The CMs version seems like it will be the real cheapy in the group so I might pick that up as packing material with a Valk i'll order. EDIT - Did Rey/Rand's armor even have a scope? I thought the scopes were used by Stig for his gauntlets and Yellow for his chest missiles.
  16. I missed the post that said we get FPs with this bird? I didn't see FPs in the ommercial.
  17. yes, go here for info on the mpc alpha http://anymoon.com/blog/2006/11/12/review-...ha-volumes-1-3/
  18. I severely doubt this toy has a light up eye. I'm pretty sure that's just a common Macross effect used to denote that transformation to battroid is complete. It's accompanied by a cute little sound effect, the toy won't do that either.
  19. What is this? A YF-21 for ants? How can we be expected to play with such a toy... if we can't even fit inside the cockpit?
  20. I thought the Toynami looked decent and could stand of its own volition. I'm gonna own all these toys so I guess it doesn't matter.
  21. you're smarter than Yamato.
  22. Please take Toynami release dates with a grain of salt people... they've NEVER hit a single date and their track record shows they're usually late between 3 and 6 months.

Hey everyone, I'm selling a 0A right now. It has two arms that aren't broken and a perfectly fine head. Maybe if someone needs one arm, another person needs another, and another person needs a head it could get parted out? I dunno, just a thought.
  24. Looks like the VF-25 is a combination of a VF-11 and an SV-51. The more complicated these transformations get the less I'm thrilled with it. It definitely promises that we'll get fragile toys and it just seems to make less sense than the VF-1. Oh well, guess it looks cool enough.
