  1. That group photo is from my latest post, see it here.

    Surprise! Fan Racer

I asked for a translation also: I placed an order anyway, it's unique enough for me!
  3. Arthurius, all they did was paint over a YF-21 toy and replace the canopy for that demo pic... chances are they just didn't bother painting the gun yet, I wouldn't be concerned it's clearly just a very early demo piece.

    Graham's Sig

So, was the "wind of change" the fan jet?
  5. How about the Spartan comes with standing figures of all the main Macross pilot cast. That way there, if you want Hikaru and Roy standing next to their Valks then you have to buy the Spartan.
  6. We all create the stories we read, not the authors... the authors just put us on a path. Many of these shows aren't at all what their creators wanted them to be but then some suit told them "make this so we can sell more that!" The final versions of the shows ended up often being nothing at all like they were originally envisioned. So, an author can intend for something to be one way but have it interpreted another, an author can envision a story and have it changed by outside forces to meet other demands, and then an author can have his work merged with others to create something completely new... and most of this is all crafted from previous stories that inspired the author in the first place.
  7. Who was Ryno posting as? How'd it get figured out?
  8. Maybe they could just make the Spartan a lot simpler than their other destroid toys so it's not such a huge pain to get the money back.
  9. If you're getting a DYRL 1A, which is all but identical to the 1S, why even bother getting the 1S unless you were going to have it in battroid mode?
  10. Ah yes, by the time they actually started taking preorders they had rolled the release date back to May. When Scott/Stick was originally hitting the streets the expected release of Rand was late March. It's probably just calculating in the two month delay that Stick had going from November to January that would push Ley back from March to May.
  11. As others have said, I'm no mod, I didn't close any threads, I just had the dubious distinction of making the last post before the silent moderator lockdown.
  12. I swear this exact same thread was here not long ago and the winner was a Japanese garage kit that was 1/144 but fully transformable including an integrated heat shield. Beyond that Kaiyodo's atrocious (from a toy perspective) partsforming gashapons.
  13. the two 19s are too similar, mostly white with just a different color trim used but in exactly the same scheme? I don't find either bad but neither great, I'll probably just have to pass on both. I'm probably in the minority but I like my cartoon vehicles a bit more colorful.. I'd like the Angelbirds take to be blue with white trim and red accents.
  14. Seriously, what happened to the poll options? I would have chose: 2) No, I'd rather save for a Beagle or play with my CMs
  15. I believe Ley is already late which bodes well for people hoping Beagle was going to make some changes rather than just swap the gauntlet and call it a day. Then again, there are many reasons for possible delays and I would still consider any fixes a delightful surprise.
  16. I believe this thread always gets locked because it falls under the scope of the existing Mospeada thread. If it could survive on its own, I think you should do it poll style. Do you want a Mega House Bartley Ride Armor: 1) No, Ride Armor toys aren't cool 2) No, I'd rather save for a Beagle or play with my CMs 3) Yes!
  17. Overdrive has been moving for the last week... that may lead to some delays as they try to get caught up on everything.
  18. Finally got my Luca review up. Click here to go there, sample pic below:
  19. The VFCs aren't blind sets at all, they're guaranteed full sets with one bonus figure (in the first series) and guaranteed full sets with all three bonus figures in the second series.
  20. No, according to Graham the factory workers were just told to be a lot more careful installing the pin which means the plastic isn't fatigued right off the bat (and probably the burr end isn't as fat) and that's why those don't seem to have a problem in comparison to the original VF-1S that had lots of broken shoulders.
  21. I like that the 1/48 has the proper head position but I dislike the size (especially with all the packaging). The new 1/60s allow a lot more flexibility when it comes to display cases. As an added bonus, the 1/60s have fewer potential problems like wing flaps that fall off or loose airbrakes.
  22. The best feature these toys could have are lower MSRPs. I can definitely live without removeable missiles or removeable missiles with additional features... although that does sound pretty cool.
  23. Those super poseables have never been worth very much, I would open it and enjoy it. Minor rips on cardboard shouldn't be repaired, you'll just make things worse.
  24. Last chance? You think HG is in economic trouble? They've survived off a trickle of residuals for this long, I would guess they're doing just fine unless they get themselves wrapped up with a ton of money borrowed to make a show that doesn't come out or tanks or something. As long as they're in a holding pattern they can probably stick around for quite a while.
