I'm actually back at the moment, leaving again in another few days. I'm pretty sure Overdrive just did a photo shoot at a Beagle event, I haven't heard word from them about actually handling one yet.

The problem with your theory is that 1/60 is the DX scale also. The second problem with your theory is that Yamato is only showing one Mac7 toy and it's from a subset of Mac7. The third problem is that the GNU series isn't made to a particular scale (hence the VF-11 being the same size as the YF-19 and YF-21).

I wonder why there's no Mac+ listed... maybe because there was only three valks and a ghost to choose from? EDIT - Let's play GUESS THAT CHASE! My guess? VB-6 FTW!

Well, while we all wait for Phalanx news I've updated my Weathering Destroid post to include the defender: Check out more pics here.

Post some pics if you can

that's not really how prices tend to work... if an item sucks and no one buys it then prices go down.

LOL, I had one eyebrow up on that one for a bit too. I ended up wiggling it out with a toothpick.

Do me a favor and PM me that request so I don't have to try to hunt this down later in case it gets buried by a couple pages. I think I can make all of those things happen pretty easily.

It's a smart move as it sounds like the fighter modes are always the most desired gashapons. I'll probably grab a set and review them provided they're not as pricey as the Yamato series.

I started working on my review last night but I probably won't post it until next week. I want to take comparison shots with the other Mac Plus toys and also the original 1/72 toy so it's going to take a while. Plus I really want to put it through its paces before I write a blurb on it.

Has there been any word on the Japanese Mospeada book that was in the works being cancelled? Is it officially "on hiatus." The sad truth, it seems to me, is that if there wasn't enough interest to get a Mospeada book off the ground in Japan than the chances are awfully slim of one being successful. I'm a huge Mospeada fan, I definitely would buy one, but I realize that I am in a very tiny minority.

It sounds like you don't know the players or the parts but are quick to pass judgment.

Let's not crap on Danth here too much. Roger goes out of his way to be an ass to people and sometimes he's bound to have it come back around to him. I'm not talking in regard to what happened with his images but rather in regard to the tone that some people use when responding to him. If Danth came off like an ass to Roger than oopty friggin' do... I'm guaranteeing we can find plenty of posts where Roger was a total ass to lots of people. For that matter, if Roger was upfront and friendly in the beginning there's a good chance we wouldn't have got to a situation where "stolen" images were being posted on the Interwebs. Hopefully we all get a book of additional Mospeada line art at some point... and hopefully everyone so keen on the fate of these pics purchases said book.

Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.5
jenius replied to azrael's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I'm gonna guess that Bandai issued the corrected pieces to the super pack set. -
Let's just hope that book in Japan eventually makes it out.

Isn't Roger banned or suspended?

I'll bet every time you write "poor EXO" he wants to vomit. He has to have tough skin by now, I wouldn't worry so much about him. He let some whining happen and then said "Shut up and move on." so I'd have to say things are pretty much resolved.

Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.5
jenius replied to azrael's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
A little late but my review of the VF-25G is finally up: See it here but don't expect any surprises if you've read my previous VF-25 reviews. -
Here's my newest rig for shooting toys. It's 16"x16" and wouldn't work for above shots (but that's easy, just remove the tent and lay down some poster board). It also wouldn't work for large group shots but I'll never have a tent that can handle that. Also included is a quick snap (no camera adjustment) of the toy inside without any photo shop help. It's the full tent with a foam board under a dry erase poster board to form the floor (so there won't be any wrinkled fabric in my shots). This will probably be the rig I'm using for all future toy reviews on my site. I'm hoping this new rig will help me reduce the amount of post-shoot correcting I do (I rely heavily on Photoshop to make up for my less than amateur talent with the camera). EDIT - yes, I probably will be trimming the dry erase board that is currently spilling over all over the place... just haven't decided how much.

No offense Excillon but aren't you just adding to the stuff that you're complaining about: 1) An entire long running thread about objections to a members permaban 2) A thread that was only designed as a feeble attempt to passive aggresively bait a mod 3) A tattletale thread about a mods comment about fast food cuisine 4) Yet another not Macross-related thread commenting on members and the mods who have to deal with them I get where you're coming from but all this will pass. The mods were letting some venting get done and letting some people be playful, it's all just part of the natural cycle. Somebody start that Lion King song.

The original Macross had images slapped on anything you could imagine, it should be no surprise that MacF is doing the same. As Bri said, it's just how the business works (when something does well).

Growing up I always thought that part looked like a frog's face. Unfortunately, mine is tucked in storage so I can't take a look to help you out.

Darn, Wiki kills my work browser. If the point is that the original didn't have a v-stab then yeah, I know, but I just think it'd look cool. Having seen the one straight up though I'm not feeling it.
