  1. Nice... there's a better pic that sums it up though:
  2. Did kawamori suggest the changes?
  3. I sold a full set on eBay that had been opened but without breaking that seal (funny how that's possible)for about $50... so like $10 a toy. For one that's unopened you might get $20 for it.
  4. Maybe replacements for the Yamato Scopedog toys?
  5. While you couldn't pull off a giant flying jack o' lantern you probably could do a Jolly Roger on the top of a VF-1.
  6. With QE3 being announced I wouldn't be surprised if the Yen to dollar is 70:1 come late December.
  7. Precisely. You get the sense the figure has no gerwalk mode but rather that someone gave up halfway through the transformation process.
  8. Half the 19's gerwalk issues are kawamor's fault. The 19's gerwalk is terrible even in the line art. I do agree that Yamato could have done better though.
  9. The 1/48 LowVis DID languish on store shelves. It was a long time before it sold out and then eventually became a collector's item. The Low Vis VF-1S Focker is just a darker version of a canon scheme... I'm pretty sure that's exactly because of what stinkers the 1/48 LV, LVII, and Stealth were for Yamato. If you want a non-canon scheme maybe you'll get a Hikaru VF-1J LV that's a dark gray but I'm pretty sure the reason Yamato keeps releasing "no paint" versions is so that people can make their own non-canon schemes because Yamato doesn't want to risk getting burned by them. Maybe Yamato will prove me wrong though.
  10. I am cool with how the normal CTS-V sedan looks, it's pretty manly. That Hennessy coupe though is is too manly... like a huge female body builder.
  11. All non-canon schemes sell poorly.
  12. Anymoon.com has a review with lots of pics as well.
  13. Yes, they sold weathered 1/60 Super Parts at one point.
  14. And when the shoulder breaks off your Yamato version the first time you transform it, what then? EDIT: Nevermind, I know, wait for a revised second release!
  15. I don't believe they ever made a painted prototype of the Fuke. Beagle is dead... the best we could hope for now would probably be a WonderFest conversion kit of the Beagle toys to the Fuke or Yellow variants.
  16. Did Yamato steal Mr. March's colored line art?
  17. Yes, the strike parts are weathered. I'd guess 500 as the value since its 1 of 100 iirc.
  18. For those of you who don't visit anymoon every day like you're supposed to, here's a color comparison pic of the two different types of fast packs:
  19. Boom goes the dynamite.
  20. And apparently an unpainted VF-1D right?
  21. The problem with the the SDF-1 TV version's wider appeal outside of Japan is that that appeal is negated by things like ignorance of toys only released in Japan, unwillingness or apprehension related to purchasing gray market international goods, fear of purchasing unsupported goods with substantial MSRPs, and issues of similar natures. This is compounded by the SDF-1's natural lack of demand caused by its being a ship and not a fighter. I still would LOVE a TV SDF-1 but I understand it's unlikely. I guess with the new VF-17 toy, new VF-19 toys, and a VF-4 in the works Yamato is in no rush.
