  3. It seems like Bandai SHOULD be able to do something about the wings in their armored parts release since. I don't know what the fix would be exactly but since we get whole new wings I'm hoping they do something to address those stupid pegs. At the very least, if the pegs were locked into the wing so the whole wing fell off instead of a hard to find peg that'd be a step in the right direction.
  4. A couple good videos from the past of this thread:
  5. I think Yamato missed a golden opportunity at some point. They made 1/24 Patlabor figures, 1/15 Megazone figures, 1/12 Votoms figures, 1/15 BGC toys. It seems like they could have done something like a "Microman" line of toys at one standard scale that acommodated all these lines. Not sure what that scale would be (1/20 or 1/24)?
  6. That was a scene mega house set up at shows. They also had scenes featuring an invid scout they never made and a Mint figure.

    I wouldn't mind.
  8. But that's only true because they sold out at msrp. Had they all started at twice the price there'd be plenty still on store shelves, we might even be heading toward an hlj sale.

Everything in life has a 5% fail rate it seems.
  10. Yamato would have an easy solution for that... make the MSRP double what Bandai is charging.
  11. I would temper my enthusiasm on that... I think some other Macross merchandise has been produced by companies other than Bandai already and Bandai would only give up the rights to make toys when they don't think they'll be profitable any more. Seems unlikely they'd let the rights go with the renewals selling out instantly. Besides, you don't want Yamato making VF-25 toys right now... you want some more time to go by so it will be a truly third generation toy.
  12. No, a v2 1/48 could be a huge improvement over the 1/60. Think anime accurate transformation, built in side covers, no neck collar, functioning chair out the head hole gimmick... you just have to dream a bit and it could be epic.
  13. LAAAAMMMME. I'll try to get another version uploaded without the flicker . For now the flickering ends after about 4:43.
  14. I have only two 1/48 toys left, my VF-1J Hikaru (Super) and my VF-1S. I also have one set of Super/Strike parts and one set of GBP. That said, I only have a few 1/60 V2 toys also (Hikaru 1J, Focker Strike 1S, GBP, and a VF-X).
  15. I finally completed my comparison of the V1 Armored Parts and the V2 Armored parts. Here's a glamour shot, check out the rest of the post on anymoon -

Mine is waiting in japan until I can figure out if I'm getting a yf29 focker.
  17. He did say it in the thread for the VF-19.
  18. Are you talking about the old Macross Plus YF-19 or one of the newer VF-19 releases? If it's the older YF-19 toy there was a whole thread dedicated to limbs suddenly falling off on those toys. If it's on the newer releases then we may need to dust off our panic buttons.
  19. Y'all haters can hate on this paint scheme... I hope that just means I'll be able to get one.
  20. I've been handling my V1 Alto a fair bit lately (I did a super parts comparison of V1 to V2 recently on anymoon). I have the Alto that came with Tornado parts and it's not at all yellowed (although it's a later release). I can't speak to the blue "movie" version but if you HAVE to go V1 the Tornado Parts toy might not be a bad bet (but I'd echo the sentiment that the V2 is a huge improvement).
  21. I just transformed my armored Alto and Ozma toys from Battroid to Gerwalk... it wasn't so bad going that way. I also transformed my V1 armored Alto from battroid to gerwalk and that was a true trial of patience.
  22. It looks like the Toynami has nearly the same sized feet as the Gakken 1/35.

A friend in Japan says he was able to grab me one. W00t!
  24. I thought long and hard about buying one but limiting myself to finished licensed products is one of the few ways I can keep this hobby from getting outlandishly expensive. I'm sure we'll get some awesome Gakken comparisons pics at some point that will make me regret my decision.
