  1. I think Tokyo Hunter is close to this store: http://www.animecenter.jp/ and I think that's where it was purchased. I'll try to put up the dimensions later but it's a decent size and the 3d effect is really sweet.
  2. My friend bought it for me in Akiba, apparently it's limited to like 500 prints.
  3. In high school my buddy dated a girl whose parents lived in this giant home that at one time had a walk in freezer but they had converted it to a theater. My dream would be to own a house like that some day and have the sides of my theater be display cases full of sweet toy goodness. Unfortunately, that'd probably suck because the bass would make the glass rattle. I might have to rethink this. In the meantime: Sun = slow plastic death. When I had Detolfs once upon a time I used posterboard to block off all angles except the forward angle where no sunlight could come in.
  4. What's a facebook?
  5. Remember when Yamato told people that Shin's version was really meant to be the first VF-0A toy they released and that MacrossZero was wrong and that the cannon fodder and Shin's valks were really SUPPOSED to all be the same.... and then like six months later they revealed Shin's VF-0A. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.
  6. I'm guessing we'll have a cadgasm on our hands
  7. I heard from a bird that word its coming soon... I'm guessing winter wonder fest.
  8. Finally have mine... neat.
  9. The head might be a LITTLE big... look at the line art, not the Yamato V2 if you want to talk about battroid mode (and since you're talking about the head you should be). I know the line art aesthetic might not appeal to you but it makes sense that that's what they'd be going for.
  10. Here's a pic of my loot: On top there's a pretty cool piece of art by Tenjin, it's 3D, not sure of the origin but here's a bad pic (I think it's frickin' sweet):
  11. The 171 was hard to preorder but not hard to find after release so I wouldn't freak out too much.
  12. All these people are like "OOh, check out my VF-4 review." Yeah, VF-4 reviews are so YESTERDAY'S news. Where are their reviews for 30 year old toys? Yeah, I'm kickin' it old school:
  13. Dimensions of a 1/60 Hovertank: 4" long in tank mode 4" tall in "battloid" for RT fans. IIRC, the original Matchbox toy actually is close to the perfect 1/18 scale to go with the action figures.
  14. So does that mean Robotech's Love Live Alive has been released? I have a very morbid curiosity about it. Are they really going to blend old animation with new? Sounds like a trainwreck I'll have to watch.
  15. Toynami used magnets... it was a huge failure and it caused scratches on the paint.
  16. I appreciate this project... hope to see more.
  17. There's also another member who has been working on 1/60 Meltran figures... hopefully he sees this thread and post some pics.
  18. You realize that this is a model right?
  19. Hopefully Yamato gets the Frontier license on the 10th anniversary and Bandai commissions another series with lots of new mechs.
  20. Man, I think i have Panzer Dragoon Saga just squirreled away in a box under my parents house... Apparently I should dig it out! Let's not say "legitimate retailers" as the people in Bandai's distribution circles are perfectly legit. Yes, a few scalpers get them, but that same thing happens with Yamato goods. WIth Yamato goods we all just laugh at those people though and get them through retailers who don't sell out instantly. With Bandai goods that option vanishes quickly.
  21. Your rants are confusing... WANT SO BAD... RAAAGGEE... THESE TOYS SUCK!
  22. I really wish I could have purchased this.... I can only hope it goes on sale later down the road.... that and the 17D
  23. So, does this mean Bandai can make any vehicle from Macross the 30th game? 'Cause that would open up some sweet possibilities.

    VF-9 Cutlass

With a battroid mode that ugly... I don't think I'd need it to transform.
