    Yeah, that hip swing bar mechanism is lame. I always manage to accidentally put my hand on the cockpit when transforming to battroid mode and then have to fish the cockpit back up again. Getting the head swung around and having the doors in the right spot when it all comes together going back to fighter is tight. Then there's those chest flaps which have to go down and then back up at the right point. Then you have to swing the arms around while fiddling with the armpit kibble. You can even mess up with the hand stop and it can make just getting the hands out a major pain in the butt. Getting the arms just right probably wouldn't be too brutal if it weren't for how stiff the arm joints are. In the end, there are just lots of spots where if you didn't just transform the toy 5 minutes ago or committed lots of little tricks to memory it's kind of a pain. Then there's the whole wings falling out issue. If your wings don't fall out constantly (or at least one of them) I think it's safe to say you're the exception.

    Besides the wings falling off? Getting the arms back in their proper position isn't very fun and it just feels like everything needs extra massaging.

    I've been trying to buy that toy for a while (Rane 35Max Assault Version) but it was the last one they made and it's really hard to come by. I also purchased a CMs Rane Assault Custom but the seller sent me the standard version instead so I had to return it

    Man, every time I transform this toy I like it less. I think there might be some critical mass point where you will keep hating it more each time you transform it until you've transformed it 50 times at which point you'll be so good at all the little annoying points you'll start really enjoying it and you'll be able to fly through it in no time. I haven't reached that 50 times point yet so I'm just frustrated with it... especially after playing with my VF-4..

    I think I just purchased a Yamato 1/12 Scopedog that was limited to only 100 pieces. I believe it was a lottery prize similar to the 1/48 Hikaru VF-1S Weathering Edition. Unfortunately... it's also one of the most boring looking Scopedogs you'd ever see. I think I also own the black Scopedog that was the original DVD purchase so that means I own the rarest Yamato Votoms toys... can't wait to get them on my site but it won't be any time soon.

    I would really love it if they did an MP Ultra Magnus and I would love it more if we got his trailer and it was transformable. If we had to add on a couple parts but they could be stowed in the trailer that would be fine by me.

    Thrust was one of my favorite fighter jet toys growing up, I'd love to have a masterpiece of him. I know there's a good third party option but if the third party would go there it seems Takara/Hasbro should too. Maybe they were waiting for the Igears to be off the market and it seems we've pretty much gotten there.

    Someone just shoved a mospeada toy (3x 1/72 Legioss) in a knock off Macross box. It's not the right box for that toy, someone just threw this together when they found an empty box and a toy small enough to fit it..

    You're probably not getting the nosecone hinge perfect. The nosecone drops down away from the body, then you have to get it at the right angle and press it up and in so that the hinge within the nosecone slides forward. There's a pic of this in the instructions but it's easy to miss what's going on. EDIT - I'll upload a transformation video now to help.

    If they go 1/48 again (or larger) it's going to be like an "Ultimate Deluxe" line or something, that's my guess. We'd see integrated everything, superior articulation, details we never dreamed about, at a cost of probably like 3x a 1/60 V2.

    Yeah, I only use the bid services for those rare auctions where someone is selling a whole bunch of toys as a lot. If you're going to have to pay a transaction fee of $15 on top of the 10% plus 25% extra on shipping it's nice to get a lot of toys with one transaction. I shouldn't say "only". I've purchased some high dollar rare items there too but that's pretty infrequent.

    Yep, it was a dud; a pretty big dud; a major mark down item. I think in Yamato's mind the best non-canon scheme they can give us is a blank valk for us to do whatever we want with.

    No, Matchbox made the Invid Scout and Invid Storm Trooper mechs but not the inorganics. They're certainly unique but I think they'd be a little cooler if they looked like they had some weaponry
