I agree that the toy can maintain a gerwalk mode and not break the ankles... It still sucks in gerwalk mode and the ankles are part of that but it seems that was never the dispute.

Are you saying the ankles are easily broken so lots of members are breaking them and either not knowing it or living in denial? Does that support your argument that there's nothing wrong with the ankles?

Prometheus - on Blu-Ray and DVD Oct. 9, 2012

This makes no sense to tie the engineers actions to the death of Christ.... Because then you have to tie the engineers failure and very bad things to Christ as well. -

What event on earth? What happened around 100ad? They should have made the date correspond to WW2 and our first use of nukes. -

I watched it with my wife the other day. Afterward she said "That was kind of ridiculous toward the end but otherwise fun. I sense I'm willfully ignoring some pretty glaring issues so I'm going to choose not to think about it and just remember it as 'fun'." -
I agree with you guys. While I do love a smaller deluxe toy that I can handle (like the Hi-Metals), I'm not looking to buy disposable toys at this point in my life (unless we're talking about the stuff my son will be getting when he's a little older).

Are you serious? Two companies tried 1/100 VF-1 toys one premium the other affordable and both had early demises.
-
HLJ scored the fortune, Yamato had already sold the toys to them. Happy to help support the notion that macross is profitable.
-
You'll be fine. It might take you a moment or two to get it just how you want it but you'll be able to get there
-
Well I'm with you. I was hoping to get it on sale later but if it's low stock now I'm diving in. It looks to me like Yamato selling the store to Arcadia which could very well mean a significant delay as the paperwork is processed for things like licensing rights before Arcadia is really able to produce anything. That's my guess as to why Arcadia didn't show anything at Wonderfest... the licenses are probably all in Yamato's name. EDIT - I've never been involved with making anything that requires a license though so that could just be completely ignorant ramblings on my part.
-
The scary thing for me about all of this is that it I was under the impression Yamato was what it was because it had a huge Macross fan for an owner. That means he made toys with the hopes of turning a profit but also because he really wanted to see them get made. If this name change marks an ownership change then I fear we might be in for some depressing times. Having a new owner that's more about the bottom line might mean a lot less toys and variants.

You should buy the Optimus that goes with it... he's available on eBay right now somehow missing a trailer (what are the odds?) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Transformers-Masterpiece-MP-4S-Convoy-Sleep-Mode-Optimus-Prime-/261163626363?pt=US_Action_Figures&hash=item3cce90af7b- 17033 replies

I've been asking around and only getting shrugs, no one really knows what to make of it but most aren't jumping to the worst conclusions.
-
Minor correction, that is an AGN-03 which is supposedly a slightly upgraded version of the toy you have, an AG-XX01.

Oh sweet Jesus, who buys that stuff? The sad thing is, I could totally see this being an acquisition of Yamato to get at their profitable smuttier merchandise.

Too soon for doom. Moving headquarters could mean they had just gotten too big for their existing space. My company moved headquarters about a year ago and it was very much a good sign, not a bad one.
-
If at this point we haven't seen a pic I'm guessing that nothing was announced. Stay tuned for summer Wonder Festival! Meh, maybe the announcement will happen sooner at a show where it'd garner a little more attention.

So it looks like what was next from Yamato was a name change to Arcadia. It also seems like they wanted a more specific venue to start showing off their new wares. I think that's kind of a bummer because nothing would have quelled doubts about the name change affecting the business like the announcement of some 1/60 V2 reissues and an all new valk later this year.
-
Very curious. I wonder if the name change is concurrent with a change in ownership structure.
