  1. There's a different thread for that.
  2. Agreed, the articulated flaps were a cool idea but they didn't add much.
  3. It wouldn't be hard to do but it might be expensive. The base of the wing would need to slide into the leg so you'd need to add a flap to the leg to conceal the groove. The 1/48 VF-1 has a similar mechanism to plug the super part holes in the back of the legs. EDIT - I really hope we get a Ravens and a Skull paint scheme. C'mon... Arcadia wouldn't build this expensive mold for just one model right?
  4. For 5 years ago? Yes. But at some point we're going to need to freshen things up! My rumors are for the toy industry, I never hear anything about models because my lack of modeling talent is legendary.
  5. The only rumor I've ever heard in regard to this is that Bandai still thinks the right VF-1 could make some money. Who at Bandai? How much would they like to attempt it? These things I haven't heard.
  6. So now we just have to hope that some at Tamashii Nations buys this kit, fools around with it, compares it to the Hi-Metal, and starts working on a DX toy.
  7. If Tesla really wants the electric car to take off they should take their battery replacement the next step. Tesla should own all the batteries and allow people to just buy the cars. Then Tesla needs to install their charger stations everywhere and let people do these battery swaps for a $60 battery lease fee. You can keep the battery as long as you want, charge it at home, or come back and swap it out for another $60 battery lease fee. As soon as your old battery is removed it starts getting charged and is given to the next person that rolls in. It would make their cars cheaper and people wouldn't have that fear of their batteries losing capacity over time.
  8. They are DEFINITELY stalling. They used to be frank about this at the cons. To paraphrase: "We're waiting to see if a live action movie will make Robotech popular again because then we could afford a much different Shadow Rising from what you'd get otherwise."
  9. That seems like an ill-placed hope since LLA is a bit of a prequel (from the look of it) that recaps Yellow's arrival on Earth. The "New" mecha is the non-transformable fighter Yellow crashed to Earth in and was shown briefly in Mospeada and looks a bit like a VF-4.
  10. Yeah but the super parts are so inconsequential on the YF-19 that selling them separately feels so greedy. Even the VF-17 super parts felt like a rip-off and there way more significant than the YF-19 Super Parts.
  11. Well, I'd love to get my hands on Orguss with good subs but I think the 100 fold was from 0.01% to 1%.
  12. I'm guessing the announcements are coming in the order of their ability to secure licenses.
  13. LOL, not a jacked up scalper price? "I hope it's under 24000 Yen".
  14. Wasn't it released with subs essentially on DVD-Rs by someone a few years back? Keith would know. Calling Keith....
  15. Hot diggity, I know Yamato was very much into doing this, glad Arcadia was able to pick up where they left off.
  16. Yeah, I'm wondering if there's some sort of back/chest articulation. Battroid mode is often shown with a jutting crotch in the anime so I've been waiting for a toy manufacturer to figure out how to make it happen. I think Kaiyodo's Revoltech valk did it. The canopy shield makes it pretty difficult to pull off (though not impossible) on a PT toy. I think there's a ton of promise in this kit but it does feel like a first effort. Shrink the head down a tiny bit, make it so the head is a double ball joint system that extends like the DX toys, and then the legs probably need a tweak or two (hard to tell exactly what yet) and this thing could be pretty sweet.
  17. I'm not at all interested in self-transforming toys... kinda takes the fun out of them.
  18. Thanks for the suggestion. I grabbed on off eBay but I received a PM pointing me to Robotkingdom so they may have to be my go-to in the future.
  19. I placed white posterboard over the backs and sides of my detolfs (which were similarly against windows) and then printed out stills from the anime and attached them to the posterboard. That was eons ago though, I haven't had a display case in like five years
  20. I see, thanks for filling me in. I suppose it makes sense, if I had to choose an autobot form a Lamborghini wouldn't be a bad place to start.
  21. I Wiki'ed Tigertrack the other day and saw there was a fourth Lambor, "Deep Cover" which was Alert in a cop theme I believe. Obviously I know next to nothing about transformers, just throwing that out there. He had an odd back story, he suffers from PTSD or something.
  22. Where's a good place to get TigerTrack?
  23. Sorry folks, 1/48s are fairly prone to yellowing. I've seen lots of examples, typically the chest plate is where it starts. Not nearly as bad as the 1/60 V1 though... that thing was REALLY bad.
  24. Your math is probably conservative. I'd guess more like 380... They don't go cheap on shipping.
  25. They should make it like the dx toys where you pull the head up and then it's ball jointed.
