    Another member stated earlier that there are easy preorders for the 25F available so it appears that Bandai has ramped up production. It doesn't sound like you should worry.

    Sunsa has a good psychological element before they reach the planet and it has a decent storyline once they get there but both storylines grew old for me pretty quick. I loved the Kummen double-cross "I made you all follow me so you would all die with me and this country could finally march forward." Nice. Plus I liked the Vietnam-esque feel to it where Sunsa is called the dead planet for a reason.

    I asked about Votoms a while ago and the outlook was definitely not good. I was hoping they'd redesign the arms and then give us a heavily tampo printed 30th anniversary special but I suspect that was one of those molds that Arcadia didn't purchase off Yamato.

    I think V2 VF-0 toys are very likely. It would parallel nicely with Yamato's efforts and the MacZero license would be really easy to get.

    Well that's terrible then. Even Yamato's V1 1/60 toys had a way to slide the backpack down flush in GERWALK and Battroid modes and lock them into position (it might not have been until the Super variants of the V1, I can't remember).

    I'm pretty sure the 1/60 V2 Super Parts attachments were modified from the 1/48 attachment method because of durability issues with the 1/48. Several BP9s were broken and I'm guessing someone at Yamato felt it was because of how the super parts attached that was causing the issue and that those issues would be worse in 1/60 scale. So they added that big wrap around part to reduce a person's ability to put strain on the backpack while installing and removing super parts. I think that the problem with the 1/48s wasn't so much the super parts but was rather the little triangle that should be recessed in battroid mode. If you installed super parts you probably used the clip to keep the backpack up, and if you used that clip it became very important you recessed that triangle on the back. People forgetting to do so would create huge strain on the backpack and the BP9 would snap. This is how I broke one of mine at least. I also agree that the removable nose gimmick isn't something I would want to pay more for in the future. I would rather Arcadia figure out a way to make the heatshield part of the fuselage and use an anime accurate transformation so we could get a rotating waist and a point of articulation where the chest meets the fuselage (so you could jut the crotch forward a little.

    You would do all the work, you would get it online, you'd dummy up a few that would prove the concept sound, and then Toynami and HG would sue everyone for making a good toy out of their poorly built attempt.

    There are some odd rationalizations in this thread. Depp has some native American in him, but that's not good enough. I find it SILLY when Australians play Americans and vice versa but I don't get agitated about it. Tonto is a character, Depp is playing the character, if you don't like Tonto then obviously you're not going to like the film. From what I understand, Disney reached out to native American groups throughout the process of creating this film so for non-natives to hold onto some agitation just seems... silly.

    Mino, it looks like you're missing a gimmick to the backpack, like maybe it slides down on that piece it folds up on? It looks like it's floating above the vehicle in GERWALK mode and I don't remember it looking that way on other builds... this would probably stop it from flopping down in battroid also.

    I think I have a good solution for that ankle issue for a larger scale VF-1 in the future some day. They should make it so the inside portion of the leg is made of two parts (kind of like this Bandai kit) but rather than hinging outward like the Bandai kit the lower portion can be slid slightly upward (ideally within the leg but since space is always so tight it could probably be done on the outside and still look decent) to give the foot more room to angle inward. Since this section isn't incredibly visible in fighter mode (the insides of the legs that is) they could also cheat and make it so the inner shell doesn't come down as far as the outer shell.

    1/60 VF-1 V3 or 1/48 VF-1 V2! Although I did hear that they ruled out a 1/48 V2 because it would require too many parts and the molds would be supah expensive.

    Maybe Alert will follow? You know, as much as I would like a new Hot Rod or a Galvatron, I'm still wishing we'd get an Ultra Magnus with trailer/armor. I'm also hoping we'll see that Grimlock reissue at some more vendors.

    I see eBay listings for Comic-con exclusive releases of Acid Storm and Soundwave. There's nothing special about those right? They're just the same thing but available at Comic-con? Gakken, there's no Grimlock actually being reissued is there? Just a dream?

    I'm at work but I coulda sworn my review said the toys weren't that bad but weren't amazing either. Did I really imply they were rubbish? I thought I said that with a bit more in the box they'd be pretty decent.
