    Anybody know what's special about the toys being sold at Comic-con (Acid Rain and Soundwave)? Is it just the fact you bought it at Comic-con or is there actually going to be something that makes them different? I'd rather not have to tote them around Comic-con if I can just order them at TRU.com

    It's just a comic... no one has paid attention to Robotech comics in decades. Seems like a good move on their part since people actually noticed this.

    Like the missile bays on the VF-19? IT's been so long, I don't remember that from Plus. Does that picture say it will also have hardpoints and a variety of wing armaments? EDIT - I see it does. SCHWEET. Can't wait for this.

    Yeah... I wouldn't draw too many conclusions from an ugly non-canon VF-1 most people are shunning. What I'm hoping is that they do it like the VF-4 where we can all get in, they make enough for us, and that's it. Then a year later they can do it all over again for those who missed the boat.

    I'm sure the Hi-Metal name served a few purposes. First, it differentiated the 1/100 line from the VF100s which were not very well received at all. Second it invoked the nostalgia for the original Hi-Metal chunky monkey releases. I think it was Bandai's way of telling collector's it was a premium offering more than a way of saying 'buy this for the metal content." Obviously they could have done this other ways that I'm sure many people would have preferred.

    It kills me that the arms could have been wider without extending past the bottom of the craft. It definitely looks like it could clip together better in both fighter and battroid modes.

    Don't get your hopes up too high. It's still 1/100 scale and you already have a 1/60 scale toy that is just about all the things the Hi-Metal toy is and some more.

    In no way do I support knock-offs but I did just purchase the knock-off Lambor so I can do a post on my site comparing it to an authentic one so people know how to avoid the knock-offs. I'm sure lots of people are doing this but I figured I'd throw my hat in too. Now I just need to find a decently priced legitimate Lambor....
