  1. Looks like a decent vf25 repaint.
  2. Remember that Alto-ish is also Hikaru-ish.
  3. Check out anymoon or my youtube channel to watch a person transform the YF-29 from battroid to fighter without ever once having the shoulders pop off. I did four takes on the shoulder transformation sequence and not one time did I lose a shoulder... but I did get the thing helpless stuck a few times and had to return to the start and obviously I was being super careful. Hopefully my hands aren't in the way too much and you can all see how to manage it.
  4. The YF-29 hips are simple to tighten, there's a screw on the back of them. I did it to mine, worked great. Loose shoulders would be harder.
  5. FYI... I just finished up a transformation video that shows how to go from battroid to fighter without the shoulders popping off. I'm hoping to upload it later tonight.
  6. So we've gone from more tampo print to less? Well that's a sad swing.
  7. Fun fact, in doing my review of the YF-29 Focker I learned for the first time that Bandai made a change between the Alto version and the Focker version by beefing up the GERWALK support joint. It really helps with the super parts. Check out anymooon for a new HD video and pics of what I'm talking about if this is news to you. -
  8. I'll bet $40 is exactly what they charge.
  9. So were there tornado packs or an Ozma reissue? TELL US!!!!
  10. Arcadia should call this guy. Instead of 'weathering' versions, give us anime versions!
  11. I have my 29s out now, maybe I'll spot another transformation video.
  12. Yeah, to justify the price he should actually transform. They'd need to give him the mechanism necessary for transformations. Then they could dress up those mechanisms and make them look super cool and futuristic. Then they could fill in all the empty space with pistons and other mechanical details.
  13. So I guess the question for all you matte fans is how many more yen per toy would you be willing to pay?
  14. I like my toys to look like toys. Gloss FTW! Make models matte.
  15. If it's ever on sale for 50% off i'd probably grab it.
  16. Don't reissue, give us a flashback version.
  17. The post has some new pics but most the content is getting buried now since there are several releases. I'd scan the post for pics and then check out the video (there's a shortcut to my channel in my sig and the video is embedded at anymoon).
  18. I'm late to the party but I finally got my RVF-25 review up (includes an HD video review). I'll probably do the 25A review next month as it's currently sitting in private warehouse.
  19. I feel like you're talking about Bandai before the renewals started coming out. The renewal VF-25 is 1000x more fun than transforming a VF-17 Yamato toy where the game is to try to do it without bleeding. The YF-29, VF-171, and VF-25 toys are also really good in fighter modes and battroid modes. I will say that only the VF-25 in that bunch is really 'fun to transform' though and all probably do get loose although my toys tend to stay in fighter mode and when I have transformed them recently all were holding up pretty well. Let's also not forget that Bandai tends to get input or straight up buy designs from the same team that Yamato does (although both manufacturers probably provide the price points they're trying to hit which helps determine how complex the design is).
  20. As I understand it, the YF-19 project is a Yamato project but Yamato had commissioned a third party to do the work, the third party completed the work and I think they even delivered it to Yamato. The plans were then sold to Arcadia. Arcadia then put the project on hold while they acquired the Macross Plus license. After securing the license they purchased molds and moved forward.
  21. Kinda looks like Prowl is having sex with a GoBot
  22. Kyekye, we'll be neighbors! I'm shopping in that same stretch and just north of it. I currently live in Redwood City. The good news for shopping in this neighborhood is... well no, there's no good news at all. All the dotcom millionaires have made affording things very hard.
  23. MP-10 Haiku! Masterpiece Optimus Extended arms look derpy Version 2 point 0h Optimus trailer the fun of driving out cars only fun to be had
  24. I'm going to do a transformation video when my Focker comes in. That way I can show the very minor differences between my Focker with the old crotch mechanism and the Focker with the new one. I've gotten a lot of requests to break apart my Yamato V2 post and it's not going to happen. Everything is merged together for the following reasons: 1) They're all the same toy, the differences are 90% cosmetic and 9% packaging and extras. The other 1% is the changes between the special releases like 2 seaters. 2) It takes surprisingly few sentences to say "this release included an extra part" 3) I think it makes the site easier to navigate. Imagine if you were new to Macross collecting and I had like 4 different Yamato/Arcadia V2 posts (1 for 2 seaters, 1 for supers, 1 for standard releases, and 1 for Arcadia toys), it'd kinda suck to have to go to each one. 4) More posts = more maintenance Of course there are some negatives so I get why a lot of people would like to see more broken up posts. You don't want to have to wade through information about every Yamato release if all you care about is the first Arcadia release. It's also true that the post is now very large and has TONS of pictures. That's why I'm going to be doing more video reviews like this one. The video reviews also don't get updated so they sit out there as an opinion in a snapshot in time where as the posts get updated as the toys become increasingly obsolete.
