Is it going to be one toy with two different heads?

If the the VF-1 toys are reissues they do have a little downward angle to them. Here's the line art comparison I did:

I would caution against lavishing too much praise on that 19 just yet... we don't know if there's some minor parts swapping or something silly yet.

I think I just ruined my keyboard.

Didn't Kawamori 'supervise' the V1 DX VF-25 toy? I think that's all just a marketing ploy that involves sending the creator of the mechanical design a check for a photoshoot.

Give me updates from the event!! Argh.

They probably just decided to sell only so many of them so they don't have to worry about left over stock as they've had to do with Yamato many times in the past.

It's really hard to say why the stand alone TC, LRS, and Odon set cost so much. They're OVA dogs so you'd think they wouldn't be worth as much as the main TV dogs but that doesn't appear to be the case. Since they are turbo customs maybe they get a little bump from being the bad@ss amongst bad@sses. I think the truth is that they're the final releases so they have the fewest production issues and by then the Votoms line was already failing for Yamato so they didn't make many and that's the biggest driver in price.

Definitely possible, but I think Arcadia was allowed to transfer licenses as a thank you from BW.

Yeah, very SD infinity like but with a light up gimmick and goofy wings. I'm not really feeling it but I would like to plug that I just put an HD review and transformation guide for the SD VF25 on my YouTube channel.

Yep, JM is PT but it has a small head.

Looks great, I think Yamato was pretty limited in the production run size for the latter relates. I paid a grip for my Odon set

I wish the wings were smaller.

Yeah, BW wouldn't be revoking the license to give it to someone else, I totally agree. However, licenses aren't granted on a forever basis and there seems to be a very good chance that Arcadia is operating in a gray area under a transition of a license from Yamato that BW allowed incredibly graciously because of the goodwill Yamato had. My understanding is that a new series sometimes triggers the expiration of licenses across the board as the licensor gets additional leverage and wants to flex it.

I hope the hips don't scratch the paint off the diecast parts right in front of them.

Anything is possible considering none of us are licensees with BW so we don't know their contract language but logic dictates that it probably doesn't matter that Bandai doesn't specifically state "1/60" scale. Put yourself in the shoes of Bandai or Yamato. You purchase EXCLUSIVE rights to make a toy for a particular market in a particular scale. Then,BW gives the rights to make a toy of the SAME SIZE (without specifying a scale) for that same market. You would be pissed right? So chances are BW writes their contracts specific enough to stop companies from doing something as simple as removing some numbers off a box to keep them from competing with each other.

Absolutely... Mainly because Bandai makes more Macross happen and Arcadia doesn't do much of any thing. The fact they had Yamato licenses for a bit was probably BW's version of "hey thanks for the memories"edit: this still assumes Bandai wants the rights, they might not.

It wouldn't be Arcadia letting it go, it would be Bandai paying more for it. In a money fight Bandai would win... If they wanted it.

They can make it 1/60, all they need to do is wait for Arcadia to have to renew theirlicense which will happen before the next show comes out, that usually triggers renewing licenses because the publicity makes thelicensor greedy.

Judging by the 171 Nightmare Plus toy that twist and angle below the hip is easy to understand, the leg broke off during the first photo shoot so they just tacked it on however they wanted for later shoots.

Pretty sure that 3 is March and the price is 7800 but I don't read a lick of Japanese. I'm wrong, the March appears earlier, but I'm still guessing the price is 7800 Yen.
