  1. NEVER trust my pronunciations! They're always the least researched part of the video.

Bandai is so random, it's impossible to say. They teased doing more Macross7 toys so maybe a 17 or 11. The 11 would be a great segue to Macross Plus toys.
  3. You need to find renewal tornado parts like these https://anymoon.com/blog/?p=16252 To understand why version 1 has two boxes, read this article: https://anymoon.com/blog/?p=4301 Happy hunting!
  4. Turns out i missed an email last night saying my pods are on the way so huzzah.
  5. I appreciate his passion. I'm sure if a toy sells like a turd or there's enough of a negative response, he'll get the message. Though i remain worried he went silent after the Kickstarter and he still hasn't shipped me my battlepods!
  6. They put them both up at the same time? Why they gotta attack my wallet like that?
  7. I absolutely adore the Yamato YF-21 in fighter mode (ignoring the stupid landing gear that don't lock in place). It looks a little plain compared to the DX toy with its paint applications but otherwise, it's great. I don't love the DX toy in battroid mode as much as I love the Yamato in fighter mode. I do LIKE the DX in battroid mode, it's defintely a big improvement on the Yamato, especially when it comes to handling, but it's still not an amazing battroid mode. It has the giant shelf that makes the back look like an afterthought and the backpack is too wide (just like the Yamato) . Also, battroid mode requires a brace, which is cheating. I wish Arcadia would refresh the Yamato YF-21 with all new joints and optional legs for GERWALK/BATTROID utilizing the detachment that delimiter allows. I can't believe Arcadia gave us an updated SV-51 over the YF-21! The Yamato 1/72 Macross Plus toys are fun because they were the first transforming toys but yes, it's like comparing your middle school work to your college thesis at this point. Still, if heft is a major criteria for you, Arcadia products usually won't scratch your itch, they decided long ago that metal generally introduced more problems (paint, weight negatively impacting joints) than they fixed. Bandai has done a really good job identifying where metal can help without introducing big problems, like the feet on most their toys.
  8. Seems that way, same as they did recently for the VF-4 reissue.
  9. Lol, i have zero desire to revisit the PS1 or Saturn days. I like going back to old 16 bit 2D stuff but the early 3D efforts were rough. I'm sure there's a few diamonds in the rough though.
  10. The Yamato is not glossy, it might even be more matte than the DX.
  11. I remember that pic... I hoped it was a tease, but i think it might have just been coincidentally there and that was a long time ago now.
  12. They never even teased one. It doesn't mean all hope is lost but with the DX just having been released, it seems unlikely.
  13. Arcadia looks like they're not considering PF at the moment, likely due to exchange rate issues driving up costs. I suspect that's also why they have slowed way down. The yen just isn't with what it used to be and that's tough on a Japanese based toy company.
  14. There aren't many VF-2 toys to speak of but it is easily the best. It's relatively small, which works against it a bit, but also means you won't lose too much shelf space.
  15. I don't know, the fan ratings are much higher than Acolyte, so what are you all arguing about? Not a lot of people watched it, but those who did had a much more positive response (there are numbers for that too). It's wrong to say only SW megafans watched it and will love anything because they didn't love Acolyte. Seems unfair to say that this space goonies story needed to be so good it made everyone forget all the misfires... I don't think anything can be that great. Time for the great SW reboot!
  16. Why do you keep repeating yourself? Got it, you don't like it. You're not adding anything new.
  17. I guess that depends on how many people have plans that include ads. For the people who don't have ads, they need to make sure they have compelling content so they keep their subscriptions so there would be lots of metrics used to figure that out. I don't understand the criticism about SW borrowing from itself or anywhere else, it was always borrowed elements. Your 'didn't like it' vote has been registered though.
  18. I've seen videos of wonder fest opening and it's no joke. I met a Japanese friend at SDCC and I was laughing at how people rushed to get in line and he surprised me by showing me the video and saying Japanese fans have no worries about even trying to look composed as they run to get what they want. It must be very tough for proxies.
  19. That's a lot of ride armor! Thanks for sharing the experience so far.
  20. A bare prototype to show off the metal content. It's tougher to see but it looks like all the joints are metal.
  21. Mine is on the way but I'm not expecting it soon. Pretty excited to check it out.
  22. ABS, PVC, POM, and diecast construction. POM is similar to Nylon so whatever parts those are, won't take paint well. I have no idea how to tell which parts are ABS or PVC vs POM.
  23. Whoa, $100 each? $300+ for the 'deluxe' pack? That's a lot more than I would have expected. For $150 you can get the ThreeZero and have it all in one toy. For $100 you can get the KitzConcept (without the display stand). Given today's exchange rate, you can get a DX for less than $150 also (at MSRP). Hard value proposition there. We also already have the Calibre Wings 1/72 VF-1 models so curious how those will compare. The GERWALK is really the odd man out, not much I want to do with GERWALK that I can't already do with transforming toys.
  24. I'm shocked they didn't go with the name "Super Switch" like the ol' Super Nintendo. I ridiculed the idea of the Switch when it was first announced and ultimately it was the only system I bought of the generation and I loved it. I'll let the dust settle and probably grab one as a gift for the next holiday season.
