  1. I read that as he would love to have some handy so he could commission someone else to customize them.
  2. He said "Everyone praising Bandai is an idiot" not "Bandai is an idiot" and hence the defensive reaction. Not getting a PO sucks, it's understandable he's miffed.

Probably easier, people don't go so crazy for small scale toys.
  4. Here's the Takatoku vs Bandai comparison pic: And here you can see that Bandai didn't make a much better head for their HCM but they did get things fixed by the time the Hi-Metal line came around:
  5. The EVA KO is going to come with a trailer? Wow... they're really going for it.
  6. Yeah, but when you perfect those eight cyborg arms you'll be able to just take one from someone else.
  7. CDJapan is still open... do they have a pretty good reputation with these things? I haven't used them before but I seem to be on a pretty terrible streak of preordering toys from companies that never actually get them.
  8. Maybe a new NY strategy, wait until its sold out everywhere and immediately start pricing above MSRP.
  9. Well that's my first CDJapan order... we'll see how it goes. -
  10. yeah... that was futile
  11. I remember before the prequels came out my friend explaining to me that the light saber was a two handed sword to emulate the way samurai fought... then we got the prequels and it was like... nahhhhhhhhhhh!
  12. Ah yes, be sure to be looking for the Bandai VF-79A in a few days...
  13. Man, I just tried surfing a couple of the sites and they're already slower than a snail. My hopes of actually buying anything are very slim. I can see it now... F5... spin... spin... spin... spin... sold out.
  14. Yep, because they were reusing the first VF-1J Hikaru toys which had the problem.
  15. I don't think 'pre-yellowing" is the right way to put it. They took old stock VF-1J Hikaru toys and put a brand new head on them. The new head was cast slightly whiter than the previous head. I don't think it was a case of yellowing but more like if you go to the paint store and get two cans of the same paint, they're not always 100% the same.
  16. That was on purpose. I didn't want people complaining that I blindsided them with an NSFW video and as a bonus it might get more reviews.
  17. It looks like YOTG Soundwave is shipping now. Do we think this will end up at TRU since it looks like it has the new MP packaging?
  18. When a lady says "Hey, want to put my boobs on the Internet?" it seems like the only sensible answer is "yes." It was just some random fun, probably won't happen again. She was just hanging out with me as I transformed the toy for review movie making purposes.
  19. It most likely means they're not shipping through those dates.
  20. Ugh, I just realized that MP-10EVA has been out for a while but that TFSource appears to just not have gotten any supply. OOPS! Crap... looks like I'll have to go after them for a refund. Sucks too because I went with them as they were the most reputable option at the time and they appear to be the only retailer screwing people. Man, I gotta get a different hobby.
  21. So I did get this for xmas. Inside the box there are lots of figures waiting to get built... and then there was a bag of seemingly more figures. It looks like I can make one a day for a year and still not finish.
  22. I thought the Hellcat was in the $60K theoretical, $70K in most likely configurations ballpark.

It would be brilliant for Arcadia if they never planned to do business with BigWest again.

Agreed. Most adult collectors don't want small scale stuff anyway so they're immediately ruling out a large swath of the collecting market. Even if they had integrated landing gears and heat shields (which, depending on execution could make them arguably better than the Yammy V2) many collectors would still prefer the incredibly similar but larger Yammy/Arcadia offerings. For the VF-1 market, there's no game changers until we see something in at least 1/72 but more likely 1/60 territory, be it an Arcadia V3 or Bandai DX and assuming there are several improvements to the existing V2 king..
