Untitled Neil Blomkamp directed Alien project
jenius replied to Kanedas Bike's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Isn't the story that the original Alien was pitched to the studios as "Jaws in space." That's what I hope future Alien films are... Jaws in space. Let them explore the more cerebral points in follow up Prometheus films with origins and the company dynamics there. Make alien "You're alone in a very big sea on a very small life raft and something very big keeps bumping your boat." -

I hope it has some differences from Takara's MP-11, like maybe a lighter gray or something.- 17084 replies

Alien has a bad case of the Robotechs, it's a big universe but the only stuff that matters happens to, or because of, one tiny group. -
I think they're hoping to make a cannon fodder repaint some day so they were worried about going too light or too gray.

I run a site called anymoon.com. I don't have reviews of every Macross toy ever made.... but most of them are there. I encourage you to check it out. I haven't reviewed the Arcadia YF-19 yet... but I'm about to once work lets up a bit.

That isn't giving me any sort of "must buy" tingles.- 17084 replies

Arcadia should be proud of how crisp they can get their molds... but they also should scale it back. a very minor rounding in a few places would barely be perceivable and would lessen injuries to the user and the toy itself.

Does it matter? It's almost certainly vaporware and if it's not it won't be out for years. I also find his answers.... dubious.

Some of it is probably "This will draw blood" warnings.

A monster in an aquarium, I love it. Someone needs to make a sunken Prometheus for our fish tanks.

I need help from someone who has the most recent Takara reissue of MP-10 (came with a lame display stand). I've noticed that Hasbro upgraded the front supports on the trailer (the supports that allow the trailer to stand flat when not attached to Convoy) to have a little lip which makes them much easier to pull down. On the first TT MP-10, they don't have this lip so getting those supports down is a total pain in the butt. Does the reissue of MP-10 that came with display stand have the Hasbro lip added? I would assume it does since MP-10 Eva has the lips added. I'll try to get pics up later if anyone is confused.- 17084 replies

Yeah... I'm still waiting on their 1/100 VT-1 and VE-1 sets.

That was my brother's ring tone for a long time (we have a friendly but competitive relationship). My doorbell is currently the children's lullaby version of Nine Inch Nail's Sin.

Well that label says 1J Max GBP so presumably you get the valk plus the armor for $70. That would be cool. Perfect news for the guy who just said he wanted a 1J Max. I wish toys worked out that way for me!

We don't know a whole lot but here's a link to the thread where the news first was delivered: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=41926

With Bandai making their 19 I think it's unlikely Arcadia will go back to the well any time soon.
-
They are making a new version of that line presumably later this year so if you can you should wait, you'll probably get a better toy cheaper.

Ugh, I totally disagree on the 11. It was good for its time but it could use a rebirth with better articulation and a more secure shield.

Wow, looks like Amiami has some Ozmas Renewals to unload fairly cheap: http://www.ebay.com/itm/VF-25S-Messiah-Valkyrie-Ozma-Lee-Custom-Renewal-Ver-Macross-Frontier-/301526391278?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item46345f99ee

I think that Robotech fan is conveniently forgetting the actual music in Robotech to instead focus on the background music. I love Robotech's background music, it makes great cell phone and doorbell chimes. The singing in Robotech though... wow.

Ah I see! I guess I really will have to buy this newest wave and compare the plastic to the original releases.

Uh, they did make a 1J max... it's in series 2.
