Bandai has already done business with Toynami through the Mega House line of Mospeada Ride Armor toys. I don't know if they would have viewed that as a successful venture or not but I think the general consensus is that there's nothing wrong with doing business with Toynami so long as Toynami is simply a distributor. Arcadia is forbidden from doing business with an HG-affiliated entity through BigWest licensing agreements and I would guess the folks at Arcadia probably still have some bad blood from the Toycom/Toynami/Sunrise fiascos. For Mospeada, if a company were to make a new product I'm relatively certain they would reach out to HG to try to sell the product stateside and potentially use Toynami as their distributor.

Actar, did I miss the post where you figured out what that piece was? I'm hoping to have a friggin' minute to put the super parts on my toy tonight so I can see what all this hubbub is about.

Oh ye of little faith... I think we'll see another Mospeada product... and i think we'll even see a Houquet and Yellow. If Orguss lives on so shall Mospeada. I will say this though, the toy they SHOULD make first is Yellow (if doing ride armors). Everyone wants Yellow's ride armor. It seems like Japan loves Yellow too, he's always on the DVD covers and stuff.

Um... unless you're talking about the paint they're going to use on the toy... where Arcadia doesn't even know themselves until they get the production unit.

Did you miss the prototype pictures of the 2 seaters or a are you just predicting an early demise?

I think the best thing to do is to get the Hikaru, see if the improvements make it worth it to you, and if they do, get the new Focker. You might want to keep your old Focker if the super/strike parts haven't changed.

The hunger thing is horror movie cliche. Jaws doesn't take a break. Xenomorphs don't take a break. When you're playing on the innate human fear of being eaten the baddies need to be very hungry.

I still can't get my toy lined up this well on top. I think I must have some sort of manufacturing SNAFU somewhere because the left side always looks like something is pushing the leg away from the body. This is why I can massage it to get it CLOSE to looking like this but after some handling it looks gappy again. Some peg must be a little too big or something.

This late in the game they should go straight to 4K.

I wonder if it's just production tolerances or something but I feel like I am CONSTANTLY fighting gaps. Maybe I'm just way too anal because I'm taking pictures and all but man, it seems like there's always some line somewhere that is wider on one side of the toy than the other. The worst offender for me tends to be anything related to the right leg in fighter mode. I have found a couple items I would say to watch out for if you're experiencing similar issues: 1) The crotch guns, they seem to slide pretty easily so if things are fighting you double check that they're tucked away properly 2) The angle of the arms. As others have mentioned, put the gun in and then make sure the gun is fairly tight to the crotch in fighter mode. If it's not, your arms aren't angled properly Everything else seems like it should take care of itself... but for some reason I'm constantly trying to massage the lines tighter. I may get it just right but then I'll handle it and things will get tweaked again.

Terminator 5/Terminator: Genisys, opening July 1, 2015
jenius replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I don't know if I would say I liked the first one very much but I thought it worked for what it was. The second one was mostly unwatchable, the third was similarly bad, I haven't forced myself to watch the fourth one after the other two turd baths. This thread has me convinced I need to watch T2 again. When I saw it in the theaters I thought it was the most amazing movie ever. It'd be interesting to see how it aged. I did just recently watch the alternate ending... Thank God that ending didn't stay.- 508 replies

There's no where left to go with just Dinosaurs... I suggest to you the next logical place to go is: JURASSIC WORLD WAR Z! Zombie velociraptors! That'll make you poop yourself a little bit.

That sounds very risky... I'd steer clear. I'm sure reputable sources will be available as we get closer to or upon release.

I always get charged up front for my CDJapan preorders... is that because I'm using Paypal? I forget how this works.

Mine is a gappy mess compared to some of the other photos I've seen on here. Sigh... I just spent an hour trying to transform it back and forth to get rid of the gaps and every time I have gaps but not always the same gaps. Also, is it just me or does the shield look like it ascends as it goes to the rear of the craft? Edit- 30 minutes later it now looks acceptable... man, that was a struggle.

Yeah, that line is dead as it was terrible. I would love to see Hi-Metal grow to cover Frontier and other lines though but I think that would be a very long time from now.

It's too soon to be discouraged, all recent Bandai releasea have been available around release date.

Sweet, an easy one. I also used my CDJapan bucks to get for what I'm sure I"d be able to get it for elsewhere in a little bit

Are we victims of the leap second?

From everything I've seen, these toys are incredibly different for being of the same vehicle. Is it really just the 'high speed' mode that has people saying Arcadia was copied? Do we even know if it wasn't the same shop that did both toys? Afterall, the VF-17 and VF-171 were designed by the same group.

amiami is such a cruel mistress. Every time I try... every time the page takes forever to load and then shows sold out .

Yep, I think the V1 MacF offerings were Bandai's real wake-up call but they have responded very nicely. Perhaps they've gotten a little too intricate for their own good.
