    One intake warning is higher than the other by maybe a quarter inch... not sure I would have ever noticed it since you wouldn't be able to hold the toy and see both at the same time.

    Yeah, anything that demands a secondary price of double MSRP a short time later has got to indicate to the right people that the audience is still there. If anyone can, they're bound to cash in on it eventually.

    Alright, I'm out of the loop, what is this? A game? A movie? I thought this was going to be the first spin-off movie, it's not? Edit, found a news article, read... suspicions confirmed. Curious about the anthology vs standalone but I doubt it will matter.

    The fact it also may have not warranted enough demand for a bigger production run also makes the likelihood of seeing more of it diminished. Also, it was never cheap, MSRP was also high. The good news is that it seems very likely Arcadia has the mold so if they can pony up for the license we may see another run some day.

    Well at least the good news is that that is exactly what the Hi-Metal line is. I think the only metal on the VF-1 was all unpainted, including the feet.

    I absolutely think the "hi-metal" name was meant as an association with the glory days of chunky monkeys and a way to get away from the poisonous "vf100" name. I don't know how the Japanese audience feels about it but I can't imagine they feel that differently, it's not like "Hi-metal" is coincidentally Japanese for something other than "Hi-metal". At the end of the day, it's not a big deal, I just think it's a silly choice to make it "Hi Metal R" instead of calling it something like "R Series" or even "HMR Series". I agree that not having metal isn't really a bad thing so I don't think they'd be punished for dropping it from the name.

    The rebel alliance is great when the rebels are allied with each other... when they separate into factions it doesn't make sense. So, my guess is, both the rebellion and the empire are now in factions.

    Yeah, they should ditch the stupid name entirely since it is misleading. People tend to think "Hi" means "a lot" and this line has very little metal. It's not like the "hi-metal" line was a huge hit and they need the association so I question the logic of dragging the name back out.

    I still much prefer text reviews and photos to videos but all of us saying that appear to be the minority from my own experience.

    So are you saying to let the first MacII releases pass and wait for someone else to take a stab after learning from Evolution's mistakes? 'Cause the Yamato V1 VF-1 and the Bandai DX V1 VF-25 didn't get good with the later releases... they got good when the company studied their failures a few years later and released an entirely new toy. Also, both those toys cost considerably less than this toy's MSRP which at least helped lower expectations a little bit. I dunno, I know people have been starving for anything MacII so I'm glad they're getting SOMETHING but... they have an uphill battle from what we've seen so far. I'm hoping they win me over with some pretty large revisions in the months to come.

    He appears to be nano tech. I think this is great, they took the alleged twist ending that was not to be from Salvation and turned it on its head. I don't really have high hopes but at least it looks more interesting than Salvation ever managed.

    Yeah, I think my Arcadia VF-1J +GBP cost $188 shipped... not bad.

    There have been a lot of valks over the years I thought would look really good in the blue GBP but at the end of the day... I always found myself putting it back on Hikaru... or Roy.

    You have to handle MP-10 and MP-1 to get a good feel where each one shines respectively.

    Someone commented on my video they had the same issue so we're up to three assuming no shenanigans. Still not an epidemic. It's nothing like the bent tail spikes on the original 0S.

    It's not like that's retail. I feel like mine was $200. I'm not saying that's cheap by any means but not $330.
