If you didn't laugh when Friend Besto had the hard pause when talking about Uncle Owen and what they should do with him then you're dead inside.

I think the grasp on that Zero license is pretty solid... mostly because Bandai has never seemed to have interest in it.

I think the odds are decent but not until 2017

I don't think a GBP 1J CF happened. Might be thinking of a model kit or something.

So none of you watched Laser Moon? My quote was from that rather funny parody.

No problem. I'll make a note of it for the next update. Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah... I'm no fan of Brera. Cyborg killing machine in the movies was a little more compelling than series version but still meh.

LOL, V3 VF-25. I suspect that's the kind of thing to expect on Frontier's 25th anniversary.

I'm sure you'll get your shot, the red toy can still be found fairly easily and this is bound to not be crazy popular.

I'm pretty sure they're all right on 1/60... or at least within the same 1/60 tolerances established by Yamato (1/55 - 1/65).
-
I wouldn't call the Arcadia packs seamless but definitely no floating tab.
-
I'm not sure how to answer the first question because there have been so many VF-1 toys. Arcadia accessories fit Yamato's VERSION 2 toys. Version 2 toys are generally applicable to any version 2 toy. Version 1 stuff doesn't fit any version 2 or Arcadia toy or vice versa. Hopefully that helps. As to the second question, I'm done buying Takatoku 1/55 toys because if they're cheap there's generally a reason for it. The landing gear doors won't stay closed or the landing gears are broken, there's discoloration, loose parts, shoulders popping off, stickers misapplied (though, sometimes that happened at the factory) and it's usually just 'meh' at best. I definitely recommend trying to find newer Bandai reissues though those aren't as cheap as they should be these days.

He could recess those ankles to get rid of the floods look, he has them in "dynamic action" position.

Hopefully someone who knows that situation better can give a more authoritative answer. My understanding is that at the time of FB2012 Kawamori hadn't finalized the modes beyond fighter for the VF-4. He did later finish the modes and they were published in books on his works. I think there's even a 'first draft' line art followed up later by the final 'this is how it should be'. It's definitely entirely his design, it just wasn't 100% done when DYRL was finished. Again, that's just my understanding and may be flawed. As for FB2012, there were several companies involved in financing that project and that's why I think the answer might be that no one is 100% certain who ought to receive revenue from licensing there. Just a guess though. It might have been one of those things where everyone made sure to know who had the DYRL rights but then the question of "who has rights to the unpublished stuff that may later get released as an add-on" was squishy? Alternatively, maybe BW knows they have the rights but wants a lot of money for them and since the only thing that'd get you is one VF-4 paint scheme it's not worth getting for a toy manufacturer.

That review definitely needs an update... and it will probably get one right around the time the first Hi-Metal R toy is delivered to me.

For that very reason, there's a good chance that the licenses will work out just like they were before. Obviously Arcadia will want the licenses that go with the molds they have so they'll try to buy them and Bandai won't have modern molds for those licenses so they'll probably pass.
-
At that price it'd be worth buying as an investment, it's been selling better than that elsewhere. I hope some people who wanted it but legitimately haven't been able to get it grab it before scalpers do.
-
People were ordering sold out items by using a different HLJ URL so HLJ started removing some items from the site entirely. Maybe they did this to the Arcadia display stands.
-
I worded that really poorly, Bandai's licenses would have similarly reverted back to BW. BW would then put all licenses back up for bid, however that process works. Any company at that point could then bid for a license so Arcadia could theoretically be unchanged at the end of the process if Bandai didn't try to spend more on the licenses Yamato used to have. I tend to assume Bandai will gobble up the licenses and start releasing DX toys but Bandai might be perfectly content to focus on the Macross Delta license leaving Arcadia with a wide range of potential projects to focus on. That was definitely part of the discussion but I don't know how official that discussion was. My guess is that the rights are a bit of a puzzle with Flashback so nobody feels comfortable licensing those rights.

I think "super parts" sort of lost their way after the original SDF Macross until Frontier. In SDF Macross they change the VF-1 from a well balanced vehicle into a bruiser... and that works because every now and then you need to call in the muscle. In Macross Plus the super parts don't look like they really add anything to any mode. They're so sleekly integrated that there's not much of a visual impact and you have to wonder what good they do. In Macross7 the super parts (with the exception of the VF-11C) look like last minute tack-ons that generally make the vehicles look unbalanced. I'd say Frontier gets back to super parts that make the sleek-looking underlying vehicle into more of a bruiser again. You can almost view the VF-19Advance and how those super parts look like random tack-ons as sort of a proper homage to the super parts between SDF Macross and Frontier.

But with the armor on almost none of the bird is exposed so you it probably wouldn't bother you very much. My guess is the armor will ALMOST work with the first version... but not quite.
