I don't subscribe to the notion there is a correct way to pronounce it... All ways are correct.

Scales were only provided for the shuttle and battroid modes, not Gerwalk.

And I think they set the expectation at one new mold a year so that basically means we're sitting pretty until 2017 if the Reactive armor is 2016's mold.

I have no experience with that site but that's dubious at best. It also says they have 500 pieces of the 0D.... which is impossible.

Somewhere between 1/76 and 1/88 depending on what you go by...

I'm hoping for a 0B. The limit on the 0D's value will be the appeal of the series and design but the vf4 is doing well.

The point of the distribution conversation is quantity. I would guess Arcadia is making production runs of like 1000 pieces on these VF-0 products. If they made 2000 you'd be able to spread the costs twice as much. That's why Bandai is able to price so much better, they're probably doing production runs that are multiples of what Arcadia is doing. If the molds cost $200K to make, at a production run of 1000 you'd need $200 each just to recover the cost of the molds. There are probably fixed set up costs at the factory also that get spread out over the unit run. The variable costs of actually building each toy, painting, and shipping is probably a small percent of the overall costs. So when you guys try to draw your comparisons try to think of the number being sold. Does a 3P Transformer sell more than a VF-0 toy? I'd guess most do. So, if their molds cost the same but they make twice as many then you should expect the cost to be around half as much (okay, a little more than half as much due to variable costs). For traditional transformers, they probably make five times as many so the cost should be like 20% (again, plus the variable costs).

Sounds like NY solved your problem for you. If they've killed your account then you should pursue the Paypal claim, get your money back, and be done with NY. $15 seemed a pretty reasonable refund request. Buying out of print items is definitely dicier than newer stuff with all international retailers as, in my experience, what NY did here is about the most anyone does. "We checked, we can't get replacement parts, sorry." That was HLJ's response to me when the leg popped off my 0D and it was theoretically still in print. If you want to be super safe, buy from BBTS. You pay more but there customer service is the bees knees.

I pray it's just Hot Rod... I don't care if they come out with a separate Rodimus later. That was a half baked gimmick.- 17086 replies

Guillermo Del Toro’s ‘Pacific Rim'
jenius replied to fifbeat's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I thought a sequel to something like this would be cheaper since design work and potentially some cgi work from the first film could be leveraged. It never seems to work out that way though.- 1207 replies

I haven't seen the show in a while but wasn't there some surprise and disgust when the Zentraedi realized they were 'devil dolls' or something like that? Like, maybe that used to be common knowledge amongst the Zentraedi but over the hundreds of thousands of years and the potential extinction of Protoculture the Zentraedi had forgotten that?

But this is the R series, I'm still holding out hope for a few improvements to the original series.

I wouldn't gauge what licenses Arcadia has today by what they released before today. Licenses expire and get pulled. All we know for sure is that they have Macross Zero.

I hope the backpack with boosters isn't too floppy, it looked questionable in the video.

So there's extra parts that make it look like it's out of missiles? Seems a little gratuitous to me. It looks like there might be more metal, particularly hinges in the arms but I don't have one handy right now to compare.

Is it assembled/painted like the WHAM?

Thanks for the pointers and for fixing it for me. I'm sure I'll be using that lesson in the future for more reviews. -

If anyone has been curious about the YetiStand but not entirely sure what to make of it, i have a video review up... but no idea how to embed a video. https://youtu.be/WehexqEZm68
