  1. I thought I'd take advantage of the slow news cycle we're currently experiencing and put up my review for Arcadia's YF-19. Check it out on anymoon!

    BANDAI DX YF-19!!

Yeah, not so stoked on the idea of the VF-19Kai and I'm hoping they've just fabbed up a rough one for display purposes. What I hope it portends is a YF-21/VF-22 in the future though I feel dirty hoping for MOAR on a day full of so much awesome news.

Strike VF-1S Hikaru box is boner.

What's the arm in the middle of the base for?
  5. The original HiMetal line died because it was priced too similar to Yamato'so VF1 toys. The toys were otherwise pretty good. The VF 100 line died because it was junk.
  6. They have the 1/60 Zero license... we know that. Anything else seems... doubtful.

Shush you, this is the high before the inevitable low that we will get when people actually start dissecting the engineering and line art. There will be plenty of time for that low later!
  8. Okay, so for the topic of the thread, what's next for Bandai, who had "EVERY F*CKING THING" because you were the one that got it right!
  9. From what we have right now, which isn't much, we should be thinking toy: It teased a 1/1,800-scale, 26-inch (67-centimeter) SDF-1 Macross from The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love? film, complete with (1/700-scale) VF-1 Valkyrie fighters and enemy Zentradi battlepods in the Micro Macross toy line.

    Bandai 1/35 DX VF-1

They teased a dx chogokin... so not model.

OMG need Act Macross display stand!
  12. Ha, I woke up this morning to a text, "New Macross looks like ass." I'll be reserving judgment until the end of December. The new mechanical designs look good so I'm still excited. This is what bums me out so much about how terrible the Frontier movies are. They could have been like "Yay, we get to make some OVAs where we can take things seriously and do what WE want." Instead they made extravagant music videos and didn't clean up the story particularly well. I hope this new series is super popular as that's good for all Macross and if they get another chance at doing some OVAs, I hope we get a better effort.

    Bandai 1/35 DX VF-1

I hope it transforms, battroid only would be lame... unless it accompanied a 1/60 transformable announcement.

I would think if Bandai is doing vf1 toys they'd be keen on eliminating competition so I think you can stick a fork in Arcadia vf1 hopes but time will tell. These destroys look amazing, I hope we have an opportunity to get them soon.

    Absolute Chogokin

    Want to buy!
  16. So hope this becomes reality.

I think there is confusion between teasing possibilities and making announcements.
  18. Yeah, I'm not doing English because I've never experienced Orguss that way and don't intend to but yeah, the subs LOOK terrible.

    Bandai DX VF-31

So we've seen the wedding parties but where are the bride and groom?

    Bandai DX VF-31

We know the odds are very good that many elements from the YF-30 toy will be also true of the VF-31 (hence why Bandai bothered making the YF-30). Soooooo... pretty good bet the VF-31 is a YF-30 with different wings and some canards (which likely means a big missile pod). I really hope the real stabilizers on the VF-31 pivot upward to get tucked into the back... I really hate the way they drop down on the YF-30 battroid.
  21. Isn't there supposed to be an announcement today?
  22. I liked the clone weaponry and the fact it appeared to be early Empire designs. The Naboo spacefighter was fine too. Now that I think about it, I really didn't have too much of a problem with the spacecraft designs... I think I was too hung up on everything else that was going wrong.
  23. Nah, Arcadia's reissues are the same as Yamato, no changed joints. The Arcadia v2 toys (like the YF-19 and VF-0) are improvements over the Yamato releases... but both of them started their life as Yamato products and only finished as Arcadia toys because of Yamato's abrupt shutdown. The decision makers at Arcadia seem to be exactly the same folks who were decision makers at Yamato. I don't think many folks would argue with you about the over-priced comment though!
  24. NY was actually a lot cheaper on the front end, they're a little more pricey on the shipping but I'm sure they still came out to being cheaper than HLJ. I'm guessing NY will have more available near release though they may reduce the discount.
  25. I hope this and the 0S show up on the black friday sale also!
