Eh don't panic yet, Yeti was offering a hypothesis. It's possible that there are two different issues and you don't have the more damning leg falling off issue.
-
You can see what you're alluding to in this pic:
-
What makes people think they're not aware of the issue? Oh I dunno, the fact they clearly haven't addressed it? The options are ignorance or apathy right? Ignorance is the option that gives the company the benefit of the doubt. You're telling us it's apathy... doesn't make me feel much better.

I would echo the extension not mattering. On neither of my toys did I get to the point of trying the extension gimmick before the leg fell off. Again, on my 0A, it was in the middle of the first transformation, the first time the intake area was going to rotate when the leg just dropped right off. I was worried from handling it in fighter mode because one intake seemed a little stiffer when I tried to get it to seat properly than the other so I think, no matter what, the first time I tried to rotate it it was going to fall off. Has anyone been able to get the intakes to seat properly in fighter mode? Like do the intakes lock into that plate above them?
-
The toy is incredibly over priced for what it is, even if the legs stayed on. The intakes didn't even latch properly in fighter or Gerwalk modes. If you're not a huge fan of the source you can spend your money so much better elsewhere.

I said nothing disparaging about HLJ, I just posted their terms. I even said 'my bad for being busy.'
-
It's with the 1/48 super parts.

Yeti figured it out, a hemisphere in the leg is a hair too large. There's nothing you can do, my latest one felt like it had come off whIle I was still in fighter just struggling to get the intakes to seat properly. All you can do is pray that a screw in the leg was cranked down tight enough to overcome the size issue with a part. If anyone wants a cheap 0A that needs surgery, let me know.
-
Right, I said that, "the same polite "Go F yourself" that you'll get anywhere else". HLJ has the private warehouse. It's a good move for them. If they didn't all my preorders would be migrating right now to cheaper vendors.
-
HLJ says that since it's been 16 days since I received the item they can't do anything for me. So for all of those paying more at HLJ for their wonderful customer service, please note that you only have a 10 day window to experience ANY customer service, otherwise it's the same polite "Go F yourself" that you'll get anywhere else. My bad for being busy I guess. Has anyone asked Arcadia twitter about whether or not they're going to fix this issue on the VF-0S toy?
-
Any tips on how to pry the thigh apart? In the video it just separates for you... I'm not having that kind of luck... almost feels glued. No rush, before i do anything I'm going to see if HLJ will let me return it for a refund. I don't need a Shin VF-0A anyway...
-
Welp, it's official, I'm 2/2 on legless VF-0 toys.

The door behind the head should recess toward the head and there should be little pegs that hold it forward.

Those items are like resin models... I don't know any company that would yank that away from Arcadia.

I'm guessing it's a scale shot but still surprised to see the Advance packs.
-
You know, I watched this on a plane without sound and it was still excellent.
-
Are those Arcadia pictures? If they are I'm surprised to see the Advance pack on the YF19.

I just handled my Shin VF-0A for the first time and I gotta say, it's lame. It's ugly. The colors don't work at all. There's a pale white over a pale baby blue/gray that don't really provide enough contrast with each other. The intakes don't lock together like they should, there's a scratch on the nose right out of the box. If the leg falls off in battroid mode I'm gonna cry.. during a video review of course.

If they're doing like super limited 100 pieces for one convention type stuff and truly insane MacII fans will be able to get the whole set by getting them from these conventions, that sounds pretty cool to me.

Eh... not the soundest science there but I think it's fair to say that in the future they may figure out ways to stall aging a bit.- 2715 replies

Well that makes sense as it is and I think there's a strong enough suggestion that that's the case from what you got so consider that critical comment retracted. Great start.

I wouldn't get too far ahead of yourself... we don't even know if this mock-up actually CAN do a fighter mode. I think the proportions are what they are to infer that if it were to be made it would be transformable but I'd say it's probably too early to guess. For example, they might have just made the heatshield on the chest and not actually have figured out a canopy or how the heatshield would retract yet. Same idea with the fists, they might know what they'd want to use but we don't know if they've figured out a way to get those hams into the forearm. If a battroid that nice can achieve fighter mode and have that fighter mode look even better... welp, they'll have my money for sure.

This is awesome. My only complaint, which is trivial, is that folks in the military, especially during wartime, generally don't let the deaths of colleagues ruin their lives. Everybody knows what they have all signed up for (not to say they're not sad or anything, but they are trained to reach acceptance). I'm guessing you're planning on developing why this character is so bent up about the death of the other character though so I'll just sit back and hope for more installments.
