I think the hands are just closer to the camera, note they're not in focus.
  2. I think if your legs rotate all around and don't pop off you can probably feel safe using the extension gimmick.

You guys are paying too close attention to a terrible photograph... though the backpack is erect so that's nice.
  4. He opened one and tested it and the leg fell off, so he practiced as he preached.
  5. The problem: EDIT: I guess you could argue that's "the symptom". The problem is that there is a ball (half metal, half plastic) that fits inside a housing and the tolerances must be perfect for the housing to prevent the leg from falling off. It seems like sometimes the plastic ball is just a little bit too big, or a little bit of glue gets on the plastic part of the ball, and so the housing doesn't latch down strong enough to hold the ball together and the metal part just comes right out. I would think that an imperfection in the cast of the plastic half the ball would also cause the issue as that would cause the housing to separate a bit also.
  6. Make sure you test it thoroughly in the first 10 days.
  7. So that's a pretty blatant statement right? "In the 0S are corrected." So, now the question really just comes down to "do you believe it"? I'm keeping my preorder. The truth is, I never wanted a 0A Shin custom and wouldn't have bought it if it weren't for my website but I DO want a 0S. I wish there was some way I could get it and do a quick review and confirm for everyone that the leg is fine but I'm not sure how I'd be able to accomplish that since 1) the leg isn't the friendliest thing to open and 2) everything might look exactly the same but the manufacturer will have assembled it slightly different to resolve the issue.
  8. I gotta go find a guitar pick!
  9. Oh no, not another one. Sorry, it's very lame.
  10. Yeah, you need to apply quite a bit of force downward to rotate those.
  11. Graham did everyone a solid there and was able to give us some insight into the back office. If Arcadia is working on a fix we don't have a way of knowing and sadly the leg can't be fixed nearly as painlessly as the shoulder parts.
  12. That's fine, but the expectation should be that they're going to act like you're a nut and that everything is fine because they need to save face.

It's probably just the cancelled pre-orders going back up.
  14. I don't know that Twitter would be the best way of communicating this, a bit too public of a forum. It's not like they can say "yeah, we muffed it" to everyone who has bought one.
  15. It's a marketing ploy by Arcadia. Next year they're going to release special "Fixed leg editions" to get you to buy the same toy twice since there aren't a lot of repaint options. The good news is that you can keep your broken VF-0 toys for dioramas of destroyed VF-0s when the SV-51 toys hit the market. It might be true, but I would say that 1) people with legs still attached have complained about the intakes, and 2) my intakes didn't work before the left fell off. It's possible they're related (like if your intakes don't seat right you should expect a leg to fall off) but it's also possible there's something else wrong. After all, what would the other leg not being pegged in do to cause the other intake to fall out?

You know what's sad though? Even if that's right, that means the Monster would come out a year from now (assuming a release every 2 months)
  17. It's definitely a general problem, the continued failures was why Yamato stopped it. I think it was when the weathering versions were peeling that they said "enough is enough."

So many great possibilities. I'd love to see them go Super Ostrich, Elintseeker, and then Monster.
  19. I also liked it but it wasn't worth the risk of having it bubble. If they found out a superior method less prone to QC issues I'd be all for them bringing it back.

Glaug preorders should be next. Is the box for Roy the same as the box for HIkaru but with a different color background?
  21. I was thrilled to find out what I thought was some paint worn off on the nosecone of my 0A was actually just a smudge of something that rubbed off when I was transforming the toy. So, if you think you have scratched paint, you probably do, but if it looks that way out of the box you might want to lightly rub your thumb against it and make sure it isn't just a bit of dirt or something.

The podcast said it looked surprisingly complete rather than completely faked for show purposes.
  23. Yeah, and how convinced are you that if it hasn't fallen out yet it never will? Maybe I'm just super unlucky, or maybe you all own a bunch of time bombs as that inner mechanism loosens up over time. Hope that's not the case but obviously i've seen nothing that inspires confidence.
  24. I'm 2 for 2, that didn't take much hunting.
