Someday, when mine ships, I will. .. someday, when it finally ships.
-
Great, now if they would only say something about improved ankle and high speed joints.
-
So did they say a date and price?
-
Yeah... Did they post they were doing that anywhere? Due to the whole "10 day limit" issue I didn't want to have them ship until I knew i'd be back at home to receive it so I asked for a big box to go out on the 25th... appears that won't be happening for a while.
-
They did? I didn't think they'd even formally announced a reissue and are still in the 'teasing' stage.

You recognize them? I'm pretty sure the Optimus lookin' fella is missing a shield... I think I left it on the cruise ship (oops).- 17092 replies

Some jerk drew all over your Optimus! Jk. My 3.5 year old was given two transformers by extended family in Japan, both are way too complex for him so I've been playing with them. One is an Optimus that has red flames on the side and a huge sword underneath, the other is a blue police truck with a gun on top.- 17092 replies

We don't know the price of the armor yet but I'd say the economics are very much against a 'gift-set' for the VF-0 line of toys. Retail on the VF-0 alone is about 35,000 Yen. There's a pretty good bet here that the armor will cost at least 15,000 Yen. It's hard to imagine Arcadia getting many preorders for a 50,000 Yen item. Not to say it CAN'T happen... it just seems very unlikely.
-
To be fair, the YF-19 Gerwalk mode is supposed to look like crap.
-
I think a lot of charm will be added with the non vf1 toys. Not a bad bet to grab the vf1 toys in the meantime because it seems likely there will be late comers, especially if the line keeps growing, making it easy for you to unload them if you're still not feeling them.

I had a similar issue with CDJAPAN once. I triple checked my shipping info and they shipped again. Ultimately it was because the package was thrashed during shipment rendering the label illegible. Hopefully that didn't happen to you because if they sold out they'll try to ship back the damaged good.
-
Yep, that works, though it's massive overkill like Yeti and exo pointed out, you could use that base for an entire squadron.

I saw TF:TM and left shell-shocked... but I loved it. Definitely hunted it down later and have it in my very small collection.

I would imagine so and it's still a reasonably high ticket item so it's not like shipping costs would make it futile.
-
While they're certainly not high quality, they're functional enough. I have my Strike Hikaru lookin' pretty nice atop one now. For the HMR they seem like a great fit as it lets you forget that whole 'not integrated landing gears' issue.
-
I'm tempted to buy it and then say "it came with a leg that fell off" and see if they remember my claim from earlier
-
I figured it out, they're going to sell 20 VF19adv at wonderfest. EDIT - just in case it's not clear, that's joke/baseless speculation.
-
Well they did include the stand with the Focker release.
-
Maybe there's a YF-21 about to be put next to it....

Star Trek Beyond (the not The Search for Spock)
jenius replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
That wasn't a trailer, it was a music video, and it wasn't as good a music video as the one that originally featured that song... or even the live performance at that year's VMAs. I think the producers just keep having happy accidents with the reboot series. Like they heard that Star Trek was supposed to be 'serious' so they made Into Darkness and it minted a ton but people were like "No, not THAT kind of serious, as in blowing stuff up and having a horror movie kind of villain, it's supposed to be FUN but thoughtful." This time all they heard was FUN so they'll make it Fast & Furious in Space and it will make more money than any other Star Trek ever. Then everyone will be like "Hey, we said THOUGHTFUL too!" and they'll make a good Star Trek movie and everyone will be like "Yick, that movie felt way too Star Trekky" and then will get Star Trek V - Beyond 2, Extremely Beyond.- 466 replies

Frank was getting up there so it makes sense he'd eventually retire. Handing the reins of his private company to his child is status quo.

To add to that, it's incredibly frustrating because the quality of the Arcadia toy "feels" absolutely top notch. It's not that things are too loose because of mild imperfections in the mold or something. Everything is perfectly crisp, the lines are sharp, but it's as if several parts were made a micron too big or small. My canards fell out constantly. The intake covers fell out constantly. The top of the head fell off constantly. The back of the gun would slide off if I grabbed it by the gun in fighter mode. That's all without mentioning the ankles and the wings which again, SEEM like they should be good designs but somehow just come out as floppy. I really feel like, if Arcadia could do a second release of this toy and just make tiny changes in a few places, it could be excellent but I think Bandai has intentionally moved themselves to a position to prevent that from happening.

Yeah... the first one is not like the others... I'm guessing the reference is still alluding. Also, an emotionless hacker girl? I'm guessing we're in for the most formulaic Macross yet.- 2715 replies

The Yamato GnuDou sounds up your alley.
