Unfortunately the in laws have arrived so the transformation will have to wait for next week.

Just a little tongue in cheek humor based on the conjecture of the magical bulletproof flying girls.

I think the problem is that Delta is too far in the future. It's not magic because in the future magic is possible via technology. Vagina based jetpacks? Sure, everyone has one in the future. Instant teleportation and personal force fields? Duh, that's how everyone picks their apples.

77% for Cloverfield on rotten tomatoes, not sure why the hate. No fat man in a rubber suit? It was fun.

Macross Δ (Delta) News Thread - READ 1st POST
jenius replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
How is that a valid response to someone saying "I'm bummed they didn't highlight the mechanical designs."? Sketchley didn't imply that music isn't a pillar of Macross. It's an oddly petulant response to an observation. -
Yes No3l, that last pic was exactly what I was talking about.

It's official, there's finally an Arcadia VF-0 that passes my tests! Just did my photo shoot and definitely moved the legs around quite a bit. Not only that, but i used the extension mechanism which is HARD AS HELL to do. You have to yank with the strength of a hundred men (fortunately I'm that strong) to get the extensions to slide out. If the leg didn't pop off then, I'm convinced it won't pop off. My only gripe is that the intakes still don't seat as securely as they should in fighter/GERWALK modes. Otherwise, the paint scheme on the 0S is 1000x better and 1000x more forgiving then the 0A (since the 0A had every scratch proned surface covered in very thin white paint). Question, has anyone else tried applying the Yamato Ghost to the Arcadia VF-0 in battroid mode? I did it, but I had to cheat because it seems like you can't clamp the back all the way down if the backpack isn't folded over (the metal swing bar has a space conflict with the big flap the comes down off the bottom of the backpack when the backpack is folded). If someone else has done this, can you confirm you had the same issue or tell me what I'm doing wrong?

so far my 0S has made it to battroid mode iwthout the leg falling off. We'll see if it survives a photo shoot tomorrow night and then a video will be filmed but so far, this I'm much happier with this purchase than the 0A.

I would guess it will have to be at least a 2017 release for a Bandai now... which I'm sure suits Bandai just fine with all the Delta DX toys they have cooked up. I'm a little sad though... I'd love to see what Bandai would do with it. If Arcadia teases any fixes I will definitely preorder this toy.

I wish I had models doing transformations! Unfortunately, that was just a one time thing... for now at least.Glad you're liking the videos though! I think I still have lots of room for improvement there but I'm working on it.

Usually I post the video about the same time but I've been under the weather and my voice is pretty rough. Getting better though.

Yes, the back of the plane just folds over, no latching, in battroid mode. Here's a pic from my review of Isamu to show how far forward the crotch is: When it's that far forward the canards shouldn't be too much of a hindrance.
-
I wonder if that means it's like 1/20 scale in bike mode but like 1/15 in the other mode. Some day I hope to take a tape measure to it....
-
Do you have pictures? It sounds like maybe you didn't jut the crotch forward far enough, jutting the crotch forward should give you clearance from the canards though some aggressive stances would still pop the connection loose.

Everyone I've ever spoken to in the toy industry in Japan about bad guys has told me "They don't sell." I spent some time lobbying for Inbit toys from whoever would listen and that's what I'd be told. That's why there's always more Autobots than Decepticons. Every rule obviously has its exceptions though. With the Regult I think it's two-fold: price, and armies. Regults work great as a trio. They're big on their own but their footprint isn't huge. The Regult is an officer so only one is necessary, it's big and wide so it demands more space, and it's so expensive that you really have to be a diehard to consider it. Remember, Yamato also made incredible Destroid toys. People were like "Why would I buy that when I can buy a VF-1?" Nobody bought the Yamato Destroids and so they ended the line early.I would say that's kind of similar to what we're seeing with the Glaug. Nobody thought "I need an army of Defenders!" Some people bought one, most bought none.

You just need to have a lot in your PW, then HLJ makes more sense.

Lower than Sheryl's missing panties episode of MacF? -
I do like NY for all their shipping options and the upfront calculation.
-
The Arcadia toys feel different but mostly due to their matte finish. Both companies use pretty thin plastic in lots of places due to necessity. You won't get a 'chunky' feel from any modern Macross toy.

It looks like the feet were the last consideration and they made them in whatever way as to not be on top of each other. Not official, just a guess.- 17093 replies

Have you been to anymoon.com? I have reviews on every toy and usually video reviews so you can see it being handled and judge on your own.

I really don't think Bandai produced more of the Glaug. What you're seeing is the effects of price and demand. The Glaug is a bad guy, it's usually a solo soldier, and is expensive. It wouldn't surprise me if Bandai is making fewer of it than all previous HMR toys, people just don't have an appetite for it which is why there was never a 1/60 toy.
